  Joliet is a tough little town. I was talking to someone who taught there and attended there and he said his little bro is just as good. Of course the greatest Chicago movie started in Joliet, The Blues Brothers. I will be driving to church this morning past the drawbridge, the church where Jake saw the light and the ballroom, now called the Southshore Cultural Center.

  Keep points that the FSU attorneys are focusing on and going to file - -Breach of Contract , Unenforceable withdrawal penalties , Violation of public policy , Restraint of Trade. FSU saying not so much filing this for the GOR but filing because of the issues they have has concerning Actions of leadership over the last 10 years and the future 13 , Arguing GOR of the ACC withdrawal fees violate Anti Trust Law in Florida. - -and question the ridiculous increase from 21 million GOR 10 years ago to 572 Million GOR now.

  lol @approxinfinity I though AZ lost and Oklahoma took a big jump in the poles. Then I remembered polls don’t come out until Monday. I’m excited to have Arizona basketball in league. They are the only newcomer I’m pumped about. The rest don’t do much for me regardless of ranking. - I had grandparents that were UofA fans before they passed, so that’s why they rank - it’s personal not national relevance.

  @dylans Defense always travels, the ole saying is offense puts fans in the stands and defense wins championships. I think since KenPom has been tracking Adjusted defense every team that has one a title was in the top 20 in that category.

  After the break we will know exactly what the team will be going forward. There is always a big leap forward in cohesion both on offense and defense. The playbook opens up more and options on various movements begin to make sense to the new guys. Help side defense will vastly improve as well. Switching on D is a new concept to most as Dan eluded to in his post game interview (they don’t see that much if at all), so that will improve as well. If the defensive intensity they demonstrated against UConn is sustainable for 6 games in march, it’s over folks.

  @dylans I was always negative towards Shaka because I thought he was just a gimmick-guy who made it too far off just one good tournament run… but after they worked us so easily with x-axis ball I have a new perspective on him. I am wondering if he is an x-axis basketball savant. That game frustrated me as a Jayhawk fan but later I came to the realization his players are taught x-axis… the game is played more horizontally than vertically. Remember back to my x-axis posts? How much of the game is played above the rim? Just a tiny %. Who is one of our worst defenders? Hunter. Because his lateral pursuit stinks.

  Well, we pretty much got hosed with our starting two guard spot this season. Y’all know why. The former player would have been a difference maker with speed and quickness on defense. So, we are struggling to make up for that with inexperienced players. Elmarko seems like he has the zip to eventually fill that role. But for the moment I’m totally in Team Jamari camp. I don’t think he’s got the quickness that Elmarko will show at some point, but he’s solid all around, can guard a few spots on the floor. Timberlake gets mop up minutes.

  The interesting thing is we’re a fairly knowledgable group and when things go south like last night we are all honest about it. We’re all not just rah rah love my Jayhawks they can do no wrong type of fans. I yelled at the TV last night frequently at DaJuan. He was bad and I was mad at him. But he’s a dynamic player.

There’s no way to remain compliant while keeping 85 football scholarships and fielding all revenue sports. Gotcha. Cancel all sports then. No big deal. If they’re losing money, there is no point. Money is all that matters about college sports now.
