The UFL had its draft in January; I didn't hear anything about it. Our man, Jason Bean was selected by the new team, Louisville Kings. The Kings play Birmingham on Friday, March 27 at 8 E on FOX. Jason is such a competitor, I think he will do well in the UFL.

For the 3 people on this website who care, Jason Bean and the Kings play at 7C on ESPN Saturday. They play Orlando. Unfortunately, my wife and I are hosting Easter dinner Saturday evening. Shoot, I forgot to watch the game. QB Bean didn't have a great game and the Kings lost to Birmingham 15-13. Bean was 14/27 for 226 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs, Ouch. He was also the leading rusher 5 attempts for 27 yds. The Kings only had 46 yds rushing so they aren't a very good team right now. But, I will watch UFL football instead of MLB. I'm sure these numbers are being crunched by every university, but Google reports Texas's football revenue for 2025 was $298 million with a net profit of $107 million. But, all the other Texas sports programs lost money, so the sports department shows a loss for the year. NIL funds come from a different pocket, but man oh man, $300 million of gross revenue. From a different source, Google reports KU's football revenue at 37 million for 2025. Say it ain't so, Joe. Like a new born pup running with the big dogs.

KState is paying NIL of $2 million to QB Avery; other Big 12 teams pay this amount or more too. Why didn't KU use $ 2 million of its estimated 2026 $ 20 million NIL/Revenue Sharing funds to bring in a QB? We do this in basketball, so why isn't the higher revenue generating sport bringing in more talent? A new stadium without a competitive team seems like a waste. I'm sorry for being so negative this morning, but Cole Ballard is a former walk on and Marshall has barely gotten on the field his first years here. Oh well, I'll still watch and hope for the best.

Is anyone excited, optimistic for this team this season? Most predictions I see have KU winning just 1-3 games. Well, at least KU spent a lot of money on a new stadium. I don't even recognize the good old Mississippi street from when I went to school.

Jalon Daniels has played well for Tampa Bay. Against the Chiefs he was 9/14 passing, 71 yds 1 Td and 7 rushes 19 yds. Maybe he can hang on as the 3rd QB. Good luck JD

Coach Leipold mentioned in his press conference on KU Athletics that he expects both QBs to play in each game. Ugh, I can't think of a time when that has produced a stronger offense. Maybe, that was just said to motivate our guys so early in camp.
