  1 and 2 are obvious and incredible. That’s what you need to win a natty. Some level of selflessness. What about Ochai when he pulled his redshirt? He did end up starting 16 of 22 games, but he played his way into the lineup (albeit in a disappointing season that was basically over after Doke got hurt).

  Yeah this list made me yawn a bit! But Mario, even despite the shot heard round the Jayhawk world, is one my all timer Jayhawks. Just a clutch performer. To be honest, I really wasn’t thinking Christian would’ve been too high on a list like this until his last season when he really jelled.

  Speaking of Robinson Gym, one day I was in there and a dude asked me if I’d help him rebound his shots. He said he was practicing and while I thought it was an odd request, it turned out to be pretty cool when he said his name was Darnell Valentine! I knew the name, but hadn’t seen him play.

  KU keeps things close to the vest on NIL. They’re going to hit the revshare cap easily and Goff said yesterday they’re adding scholarships. On the Big East thing, fine they’ll have more RevShare for basketball but none of them are good on NIL. Any school like KU can easily compete in terms of a total financial package. On UConn, they’re going to spend a lot more than most on women’s basketball as well. KU is well positioned to compete, though being in the Big 12 vs. the P2 is still a significant disadvantage. It would be a heck of a lot easier to hit the revshare cap with an additional $40m in tv revenue.

Notre Dame has made one NCAA Tournament appearance since 2017 and Syracuse only has one tournament appearance post Covid. KU should make the championship game of this as there will probably be several 2-0 teams and margin of victory, points scored, and points allowed are the tie breakers and KU has probably the weakest schedule of any team there.
