    Here's latest scout on KU signee Davion Adkins. Sounds like he's going to be a bit of a project here after dropping from High 30's to #68 now. "He's a player who was identified very early because of his athletic gifts and consequent upside. He was very inconsistent this spring, so he dropped a bit. Then upon reaching Prolifc this year he had a very slow start to the season, so at this point there's a pattern of him not being as productive or impactful as he should be. Beyond that, his skill set hasn't progressed much either, so he's tracking as an undersized five."

    @BeddieKU23 I hope Self learned a big lesson. Recruiting is more than considering a guy's numbers. Yes... maybe others played a role in that, but Hunter goes back a couple years and both of those years sucked. Self should realize... a chunk of his legacy is being determined right now and moving forward. Taking risks on players with funky attitudes is not worth it. Literally.. it only takes one guy to crush a team's spirit.

    @BeddieKU23 Nice post! Yes... I think he is sort of next year's Bidunka we need to retain. He doesn't have Bidunka's energy, which will be sorely missed, but he has a lot more offensive skills. I just saw an interview with him where he mentions they are trying to get him to play more aggressive, and push most into the paint for his baskets. Bidunka is still very rough on the offensive side. I think his draft stock is still pretty low. I expect him to stay in college another year or so. I'm not even sure about Bidunka's draft stock. It's going to be a competitive year this year, and next year should not be this competitive (but who knows). I also discovered we might challenge Mel's eligibility to try to keep him another year! Wow!
