Every year a player starts after starting the year before, their role expands. It will be interesting to see how KJ’s expands. Until I see him shooting 15-25% on a decent volume of shots I will BELIEVE that he can develop as a competent shooter outside of the paint, even if he doesn’t become a legit 3 baller. KJ at the 4. Already a 50% trey baller.

As I said in an initial post, discussion and debate is the primary purpose of this type of article because it is the offseason for college basketball. Pretty much every site that covers college basketball is going to be putting out articles that are subjective in nature with the intent of generating debate and traffic because that’s all there is right now for college basketball.

Hunter is likely a guy who gets a two way deal as an undrafted free agent. It’s possible he could be a late second rounder, but I think UFA amd a two-way deal is more likely for Hunter.

Carter and Cross are definitely above regular walk on level. I’d wager these two are basically slotting in for the 12th/13th spots.   I think he essentially got a promotion. He was certainly one of those recognizable refs. I wonder how much influence he had on the B12 refs in the last 4 years or so-- which is when the B12 got more physical and also got more competitive (getting teams in the final 4 since 2019 and even a couple NCs). A crew of officials can kill styles of play… or they can allow styles to germinate…
