A need and priority target to begin with. No coincidences in recruiting. Marcus wasn’t going to be in the rotation this year. The push to add another player came after practices started.
I can’t imagine how bad things were if the team went to the coaches about Adams.

The team had a player’s only meeting but without Adams about what to do about him. Did not fit the team culture at all.

A bit surprising that the players couldn’t bring him in line, no matter the issue. Coaching staff as well. What, it’s been a week since he’s been on campus?
I know were he comes from well. It’s not that hard scrabble. So, i wonder what cultural element he didn’t comply with. We have had guys from much worse cities, backgrounds.

@rockchalkjayhawk It was more that he stunk, overestimated his abilities and didn’t want to do the work to get better. In that sense he was not a fit with the rest of the team, all dogggs.

I was always pretty low on MAdams. Tape is mid.

Better that he leave now instead of doing what MJ Rice did imo. Gives us room and the Aus kid would be a home run.

Think it is a mistake not trying to get Ledlum, I think they would stand a better shot at him then this other kid Aus

I also wouldn’t rule out a grad transfer. Summer terms are wrapping up in the next week or so and some guys will graduate.

So a 6’9” grad student from St John’s is available. Quinn Slazinski is backing out of his commitment there after transferring in from Louisville. He averaged 11 pts, 6 rebounds and 2 assists at Louisville. With that height and experience, I’d think KU shows interest in a 1 year guy, given the number of open scholarships.

He didn’t play at Louisville last year. He started at Louisville for his first 2 years and then transferred to Iona for the last 2 years and followed Pitino to St. John’s. He is likely leaving there because he wasn’t good enough for St. John’s which means he wouldn’t see the floor at KU. He’s also missed significant time in 3 of his 4 years so I wouldn’t count him staying healthy wherever he ends up which won’t be Kansas because his talent isn’t good enough.

The football portal is an absolute mad house right now.

Ok Farmer, need you to squelch some things to settle my nerves lol. Now I’m sure you’ve heard - -getting this off TOS & I have a question Farmer.-- I am hearing things about Mello - - -Cobe - - -possibly HiShaw , then we have a recruit who said he is still locked into Ku - -BUT then follows it up saying he is waiting to see who our position Coach is going to be. - -So if he ( Carson Bruhn) is still locked into KU then what the hell ? - Is he locked in or not ?- -if he is locked in shouldn’t matter who the position Coach is. -Would hate to lose him.

Yes, Bama has sniffed around on Cobee. Yes, it’s tampering. Also yes, pretty much everyone tampers. I highly doubt Hishaw goes anywhere. I expect Neal to go pro and if he does Hishaw will be our featured back. Idk where people get this ish but we’re not going to have major losses.

Well as far sa Cobee goes , I guess the guy said his son goes to Ku and Cobee had been in Baton Rouge and just has ties with LSU and had been telling people he was considering transferring, good to know though thanks buddy
