@DanR It helped me figure out how to get logged back into ESPN+ and invent a few curses in the process.
-
McCormack was actively cheering on the bench. He didn’t look hurt.

Definitely didn’t really do anything for the team. Absolutely killed them when they wanted to. Our good players are good, mixed bag from Jalen, Remy, Yes. Hopefully Dave isn’t hurt too badly.

Actually that 2nd half was kind of an ugly half. I can’t imagine self happy at all with the ball handling

Every win helps us edge closer to Kentucky’s all time wins.

lol he has the Olay defense down pretty good lol

Great homecoming game for Ochai. Braun strong as usual.

caught just close to the very end of that game and Tennessee was like 5-37 or right around there from the 3 - -holy smokes

Wilson made one. Then missed another badly. Where did his shot go…
he just hasn’t had it yet. There is gonna come a time where we need this guy. He can’t go all season like this can he ?
-
All right. Rock chalk. I’ll be out in the shed sharpening the pitchfork for Saturday’s game.
-
Got to sharpen up our shooting too. 53 percent from the field tonight, but a lot of those were dunks.
Till Saturday…
-
what’s the feel on Remy ? - - Zero points - - 2 assists - - 2 rebounds — still pressing to fit Bill’s system ?

Yeah, not a great performance from 3 but had good looks. Funny how it works, one of Ochai’s that went in was tightly contested.

Agbaji was 9/12, UPS was 9/13. Remy serves this team better by being a facilitator, the way James Akinjo is for Baylor. If he wants to take over as a scorer during crunch time I’m all for it, but most of the time I’d rather he be a point guard. He only took 4 shots, had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover. I thought he threw some good over-the-top passes tonight, and if Doke was our center instead of Dave or Mitch he probably would have had like 8 assists instead of 2. I thought Remy played fine. He could have knocked down some 3’s, but he played fine.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Uh, sorry, but I’m not following. We have what can Braun do for you, but who is UPS?
-
Ups motto is what can brown do for you
-
@wissox ups, the brown delivery trucks
-
Nice win. Gueldner displeased, saying it wasn’t impressive. First half was good. Second half seemed sloppier, but same number of turnovers I think. Sounds like Dave turned his ankle. Hopefully not serious. A few Things we’ve learned: — somewhat shockingly that Och and Braun (the shock) will lead the team in scoring. Honestly surprised at Remy’s role. — Wilson has lost something, and can’t find whatever it was. — KJ remains bouncy!
-
Starters got worn out during a long stretch with no dead balls in the first. And then momentum was lost.
I thought a game with normal stoppages would have done us a favor. Looked like our guys got tired and out of rhythm. Being up 27, they probably lost some motivation too.
Hate that they had this game at Sprint Center. Hard to believe they can’t find a better program to play that game. Stands were maybe a little more than half full.
-
Yeah I didn’t realize it was in KC until midday yesterday and immediately thought that was poor scheduling. Playing UTEP in KC on a Tuesday. Not the brightest of moments. This should have been a home game period.
-
Christian Braun averaging close to 17ppg now. His improvement has been extraordinary if you ask me. Completely different player and playing with so much confidence right now. He’s fun to watch
-
@BeddieKU23 the way that he’s playing we’ll soon have to ask, will he back for his senior season?
-
If this 5 game stretch where he’s averaged 20 a game continues then he’s going to rise up boards and get attention. Still he’s a local and having the chance to be the “guy” next year could be appealing as it was for Agbaji this year. No doubt he’s going to go through the process the way he’s playing. Hard work paying off

He’s been a stud. I can’t believe I was wanting him to be the 6th man. Good thing I’m not a coach!
-
@rockchalkwyo I definitely underestimated him as well… Assumed he would just be the same guy as year ago. He is most certainly not.
-
Under, and over, estimating players preseason (and after just a few early games) is a time-honored tradition among Board Rats!

Right there with ya. Thought he would be best coming off the bench and early he didn’t do anything on the court to change that thought. But he’s been terrific and I was wrong, as I usually am
-
@mayjay If we don’t have that what is the point of even having the board??? Jumping to conclusions against D2 competition and a 30 minute scrimmage where no plays are ran is one of the pillars this board was built upon.
-
CB did revisit his old days a few times the 2nd half. He hesitated on the wide open corner 3, drove and got stuck. Self mentioned that in post game. Can’t let that come back!
-
Most of the team visited some bad habits in the 2nd half LOL
-
CB is a driver first, shooter as a byproduct of guys leaving him open. That’s been his game, including high school.
-
Holy crap, just looking at the box score and realizing that there was a total of THREE points scored between Remy, Yesu and Wilson. That is insane.

You got it, he likes to drive to the inside and make things happen. Then when in the flow of the game he shoots the 3. I’ve been impressed with how he attacks from both sides, and his improved power and ballhandling.

And not good. They need to do better.

Took him 3 years but he finally figured it out.
