  @cragarhawk I did think you meant KU. And you would have been right. Odd thing, a tourney with lots of chalk, means the seeding was perhaps done more correctly (at least arguably). But the games have been really boring either way as you mentioned.

  @HighEliteMajor thanks for looking that up. I see your point. Here are all the pros and cons to a soft non-con. Pros: Higher seed More total wins (chasing UK all time total) Maybe less stress and Vick doesnt implode? Cons: Less intense games (at the time, did we really appreciate what this team was doing ?) Less battle hardened (leap of faith here that overall being battle tested is a good thing, even if Northern Iowa is a piece of data to the contrary) Less conference wins, i.e no streak?

  He really did get screwed by injury this year. Garland is an absolute stud. He just started recruiting well and has a solid young base to build from. I thought another year was the right call.

  @wissox I think a couple of things may be in play. We haven’t necessarily fared all that well in KC…the KU crowd is not as loud and effective as rattling the opponent as we see in AFH…could be type of fan (i.e non-rowdy student), acoustics that affect the noise. Also,…I can imagine that NC and Kentucky fans may have already bought tickets on the secondary market gambling that their chances are pretty good they make it there. Further, those that wait until they see if they make it…are probably pretty willing to pay a high price to go. Hence,…I don’t think we will have the advantage that some might think on the surface.

  My picks to come out of each region are Duke over Sparty in the east. Michigan over Gonzaga in the west. The south is the hardest region to pick because so many of the top seeds have a history of early exits. I think I’m going with Wisconsin over Villanova in the south. In the midwest, I’ll take UNC over Kentucky. In the Final Four, I’ll go with Michigan over Duke and UNC over Wisconsin and in the title game, I’ll take UNC over Michigan and Roy announces his retirement after the season.

  @Texas-Hawk-10 4 guard last year, so new system to start this year would be the other full system reset I’m referring to. It’s just never been stable is my point.
