Saw from TOS that reason Ingram not coming this week was because of all the people he wanted to come on visit couldn’t make it ( presumably family ) - -so he pushed it back

@jayballer67 yep it’s 100% logistics. Heard that from multiple people. Also that if we locked him down too quickly it would look tamper-y so both sides decided to just slow down the process a bit.
Last thing I got for now is Morris seems like a 4th transfer kinda dude. Dickinson is their clear #1 obvs, then Ingram, and I think even Tyson is ahead on the board as of Tuesday. That visit should happen soon. Strong mutual interest there (s/o Kev).
Ope last, last thing. Timberlake to UConn should happen any time now.

ant wright who’s a big ten guy said in one of his spaces that north Carolina is pushing more for Matthew Cleveland which could be seen as an indicator for how they feel about ingram. But when you look at their board they seem a little confident

Cormac Ryan is also visiting UNC. There was a logistical thing that caused him to reschedule KU. All there is to it.

I said before I’d take Bradley over Morris when comparing off the court baggage but his skillset does seem a little redundant given he’d be sharing a backcourt with Juan. Cormac Ryan seems like a UNC IU battle

If it’s 2021-22 that shot 40%, I’d take easily. If it’s 34% Ryan, it’s a pass for me because we don’t need someone who camps behind the line, but struggles to make his shots.

Sounds like i’s still gonna be some time for any news. Just listened to Swain off the local weekly talk with him here in Topeka .Not a lot new with Hunter , Visit starting Thursday, but Swain he still chances are going to take some time. Kentucky & Arkansas trying to get in late , so thee is that.
Then Ingram–suppose to have a visit with North Carolina yet , so in reality just having to see how that goes, but could be getting close to announcement. Another reason for Harrison pushing visit back – -Bill was on a speaking engagement in Hutch today
The way he talked to is - -were NOT quite out of it on Timberlake just yet. Still hasn’t made up his mind. U Conn close to home - -BUT just quite NO DECISION just yet.
he was talking about Jaylon Tyson , saying he was very comparible to Grady - -very similar stats. Jaylon a little better rebounder - #pt % prtty close to same

@jayballer67 Tyson would fit in perfect just like Mccullar. Better scorer with slightly worse D which isn’t saying much because Kev was phenomenal defensively.
If we get Hunter, Ingram and Tyson what on earth are we doing ball handler wise? Juan and Elmarko won’t be enough.

Again - - PASS - - PASS - -& - -PASS we don’t need any more sittings about the possibility of questionable players and outside problems. - there are better players still out there without having to deal with these kind of issues

Honestly…it’s awkward for me to even read about and we’re just fans/posters. Self has been pretty open in interviews for at least a year that he won’t play if healthy…and NLI aside I think any athlete would actually want to play the sport. It’s like why stay?

Hunter, Tyson, and Ingram would be an awesome haul. Swapping out Cuffe for another year of Kevin would be great too. Its a lot of similar position players on the roster though, could really use another guard unless they feel super strong about Elmarko stepping right in. There just aren’t many in the portal that I feel great about.

I’m starting to be rather confident we take 3 perimeter players no matter what. And we’ll see a 4th departure if Dickinson picks KU.

Morris is currently visiting.
Tyson has interest/KU has interest. Could see a visit soon? Perhaps this weekend?
Battle reporting interest.
Spears visit next week (still TBD it sounds)
Hart is down to 4 & will announce Friday (KU included) but sounds like he’ll go elsewhere.

Ya so my preference - just me - a Coach with a career Couch Coaching potato head but my preference from this list please would be : Dickinson , - Tyson/Morris , Ingram - -yes that’s 4 - but if we can coax Kyle to go then we have 4 available. - - Let the games begin

I doubt it? Let’s see how the visit schedule shakes out. First one to commit gets the spot. I’d love both but I don’t think we have room unless we whiff elsewhere. Though if you used Ingram as the secondary ballhandler you could run Juan Battle Tyson Ingram Dickinson out no problemo. I’m a broken record on this but adding Ingram just makes your options open up so much more. You don’t necessarily need another guard with Juan so you can play 3 wings at a time.

@BShark Purely from a basketball perspective I’m happy as long as they get 2 of the wings/guards they’re on right now (sans Spears who I never really felt like was a KU level player in the first place). Getting 3 of them would be huge. My guess is Bill is pitching Morris on starting at the 2, Battle/Tyson at the 3 and Ingram at the 4 in a "point forward’ role.
I’m also getting good vibes on the Dickinson front…

Hunter is going to make it to Lawrence. Having an apples to apples comparison of KU and Maryland will be eye opening. My gut says we still get a 4th spot. Idk exactly how (maybe just eat the penalty in like 2026) but I think we make room for 4 if we need.
