Here’s a big one, Syracuse’s Joe Girard in the portal. Can’t imagine he’d be a target just mentioning. Big time shooter but small.
He’s from around my neck of the woods, saw him play in High School when he was breaking every NY state scoring record. Routinely went for 50 and would shoot from half court sometimes, he was that cocky. His dad rubbed a lot of people wrong, probably why Boheim took him LOL.

Joe Bamisille leaving OU. At least the 3rd guard to leave them Moser’s crew.
Jordan Turner leaving Baylor. Never really got any burn.
Cormac Ryan leaving Notre Dame, can shoot.

Portal will hit over 1000 by end of weekend, heck perhaps by end of day. Certainly trending to top last years total.

I’ve been thinking for years this guy would transfer to KU. Guess it finally happened – or will happen, maybe. wink wink.

There is Stanford’s academic schedule to consider. Last day of finals is today. Conferral of degrees is April 6th.

I don’t think that date matter for them to announce anything. It would only be relevant in regards to when they could enroll at KU which would be summer school with Stanford being on the quarters system.

I believe the dates to announce decisions are only relevant to the NCAA’s window on when that can happen, but graduation dates are relevant to when he, or anyone else would actually be able to enroll at KU.

Obviously he didn’t want to since he didn’t come here. Doesn’t mean I can’t wish he had made a different decision. And no, he is not a better player than McCullar which is why I called him a bench piece at KU.

@kuballin10 this portal class appears to be almost all offense so we’ll see how it goes. Defense could be there but a work in progress for sure

Scheierman‘s numbers went way down too. I think people underestimate how big a jump it is from a mid to high major. One of my offseason projects is looking at how big a drop you can actually expect. A mid major conference player of the year is at best a decent starter at a place like KU

6’8 wing/4 man Jack Clark in the portal from NC St. Avg 9ppg and nearly 7 boards. Not a prolific shooter but takes them

Brandon Murray in the portal from Georgetown. 2 transfers in 2 years after leaving LSU last year. 6’5 Guard averaged 13.7 ppg on awful shooting splits.
With the memo for transfers regarding coaching changes no idea how he plans to play next year.

Not sure. I actually wouldn’t want him, it’s just a massive addition to the portal. If we are going to take a big I want a guy with back to the basket skills.

Wheeler may very well end up in Manhattan and I think and if it’s the case K/State fans are going to be severely let down and that is I’m afraid they think Wheeler will be a Marquis Nowell 2- - -umm that’s not happening. Wheeler - IS NOT a Marquis Nowell yes true he can score some - Marquis is a better defender - - -Marquis takes care of the ball a little better and Marquis is WAY BETTER at assisting the ball - but that’s what they envision -SORRY
