  We all know we have had the roster over the years to do much better in the tournament. We have become the poster child for underachieving in the tournament. So, in order for us to move up, and advance, things have to change. And as far as I am concerned, changing the mindset, and helping the guys to be much fresher could have a profound effect on the results. I remember year after year with Roy losing to teams that were way inferior to us. Arizona…Syracuse are the big ones that come to mind. The conclusion was that Roy just couldn’t win the big game. And he goes off, and wins 3 national titles with UNC. The last one, he didn’t look like a scared to death coach icing his team - he looked poised, and calm, and his team reflected it. So, maybe the answer isn’t getting an NBA Jr. team as much as making sure your players are fresh, both physically, and mentally. If this team somehow goes farther than POY Frank Mason, and NBA lottery pick Josh Jackson, then maybe we’ve finally found the formula.

  Harvard gave that game away. They had a double digit lead, then went absolutely cold from the 5 minute mark of the first half until about 13 minutes left in the game, scoring only 7 points. Harvard totally lost their composure…

  @mayjay I was going by what we had last season. Now that the final Four will be on TBS, TrueTV has been added to to the TeamCast. By the way, for those wanting to cut the chord and catch the tournament, here is a summary of streaming services I tried: Sling - Best guide. Cheapest if you want limited sports channels. You either get the ESPNs or the various Fox Sports channels. Only one stream allowed at the lower cost ($20),if you want all the channels the cost goes up ($40) and you get 4 streams but you still have to pay extra for the cloud recorder. No local channels or networks. Sports stream lag anywhere from 20 seconds to over a minute. Great ESPN3 options. Hulu - good selection of channels. No local channels or cloud recorder at the base price ($40). Multiple stream allowed (4?) but I did not care for the channel guide. Not uncommon to have streaming interruptions. Sports stream lag anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute. YouTubeTV - 60 channels including the ESPNs and FOX Sports channels plus TNT, TBS and TrueTV to get you through March Madness. Several other sports channels and they just sweeten the pot with the MLB and NBA networks and carry the local network stations. Six accounts and 3 streams that can be shared with friends and unlimited cloud recording, all for $35, although I believe the price might have gone up to $40 after the 12 of March when the new channels were added. Decent TV guide and streams perfectly. Least lag of all the streaming services. All things considered and based on the channels I watch, YouTubeTV is the best value. I locked in at $35 before the increase. To me, it is the best value for sports fans that want and watch lots of sports channels. I believe it is now available in 80 major cities.

  This was my original reason for hating ESPN. When they had this on Sportscenter, they actually tried to say they didn’t snub the White Sox, they were just putting championships people cared about.

  I’m inclined to think there really are only 3 true blue blood programs. KU, Kentucky, and UNC. We all know the history. KU had the inventor of the game as their first coach. KU always had the Father of Coaching. Both UK’s and UNC’s real basketball started with Players and students of the game that came from KU. I think it is the likes of Espn that has changed the meaning of Blue Blood. They made an elite club that can be achieved with success on the court. The only other two I can see? Maybe? Indiana and UCLA? Yet I even question them, with there lack of success in the recent game of basketball. I guess what I’m saying if you don’t come from the KU linage. YOU ISN’T A BLUE BLOOD.

  @Texas-Hawk-10 That team actually started the season 15-2 and went 9-8 to finish the season. One really good 17 game stretch and one really bad 17 game stretch. One of those losses was probably the worst i remember since being at KU. 86-53 at OSU. No shame in losing at OSU, but ouch, what a beatdown that was.

  @BeddieKU23 Agreed. It is at least in the back of their minds when they catch the ball that it needs to go in to Doke. Instead, over the weekend, they caught the ball ready to attack. We really do need to play outside in. Let our guards try to get free for the first 20 seconds of clock. If they can’t shake the D, THEN you throw it in to Doke and let the big man work for 10 seconds. But we definitely need to keep the guards in 100% attack mode.

  First off I love our bracket. Think about it, two teams in the lower half that a lot of people thought might be Final 4 types have a potential matchup in the Sweet 16. Someone is going home early and that’s a potentially key thing down the road. If KU can survive the Mid-West Bracket we potentially might be the best team left standing in the Final 4. We’ll see how it plays out I think we saw fantastic and optimistic play without Doke and I’m excited to see how this plays out. This is a complete 180 from where I thought we’d be coming in after the Doke injury. Self and Silvio worked some magic and here we are with a #1 seed in a favorable bracket for 3 games.

  @mayjay and @JayHawkFanToo Oklahoma State is a solid team, but they are wildly inconsistent. They have some really good wins, but also some inexplicable losses. That’s why they are on the bubble now. With the wins they have, if they were more consistent, they would probably be a top 5 seed. They are on the bubble because they lost games they had no business losing. If they were in the Big 10, that would probably still happen.
