@Jayblaze only SEC team to win so far is a former big12 team who we already smoked at their place.
-
OU routs Bama. Holy cow.
-
Lampkin and Walker out for TCU today against Mississippi St and Miles looked like he blew out his knee a few minutes into the game. Really sucks for TCU who looked like they had hit their stride. They have 7 points in 10 minutes today.
-
Got a good reason to miss the game tonight. Wynton Marsalis at Symphony Hall in Chicago. Should I record and watch when I return around 11 and stay up late or just monitor the score? I need advice.
-
@wissox to me this isn’t the game that matters. The next one is.
-
@benshawks08 I hate Kentucky so bad I really get up for it when we play them but don’t have much optimism for today.

Sorry to say but you and me both. - Just not feeling good about this game. We have just got to quit digging ourselves such a huge hole early. No answer for Oscar. Just came on to see if anyone could talk me into being optimistic lol

Ya TCU is in a war No Lampking - -No Miles but yet they up by 1 with like 5 minutes to go. - - Big 12 up 3-1 so far - -Tech even won
-
Baylor forgot how to shoot today. They have just bricked a ton of wide open shots.
Because of course
-
Out of the b12-sec challenge, Texas Tech was the only team to win on the road (out of 8 games so far, assuming Tennessee and Kstate close out their wins). Rankings and records mostly irrelevant. Weird.
OU hit a bunch of threes. Huggie’s guys made 21 of 25 freethrows. Mizzou hit 14/30 threes to bury ISU.
Didn’t watch any of them, but the stats are pretty wild.
-
Watching Texas. trying to understand their arena. It looked like lower level only was open for this game. But I couldn’t quite figure it out. Announcers said they make more seats available for concerts and stuff. Couldn’t figure it out.
-
@wissox still haven’t been but they definitely close parts off for the basketball games to make it a more intimate environment. People say it’s more fun than Erwin (the old arena) was but that’s not saying much.
-
Just like the old sprint center. At and t now? It’s an optical illusion when they close it off. Spelled right?
-
TTech gets their first conference win, didn’t realize they were winless. Over a ranked ISU team to boot. Some fans storm the court which is kind of lame.

Tech came back from 23 down to win that game tonight, I don’t blame those kids for storming the court after that comeback after the rough season Tech has been having.

I believe it is only the lower level that’s open for basketball. Considering they sold the season pretty quickly, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t open the top section up for select games such as Kansas or tonight that are usually pretty big draws for them.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Must be a huge lower section because they are averaging like 13,000 per game which isn’t bad.

They’re averaging 10,384 per game which is right about what UT said capacity would be for basketball games. 10,000 seat lower bowl is a pretty common average for aot of newer NBA style arenas.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Ah, my research was faulty. 10,000 sounds about right for Texas fans who, besides you of course, only care for football.
-
@wissox he only cares about fb? Huh?
-
Mike Miles of TCU has a hyperextended knee, no ACL/MCL issue. Will miss today’s game against WVU & perhaps more.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I didn’t say that! “Besides you” I wrote.
-
@wissox sorry! I misread

Good, he should make a full recovery this year.
-
Dixon sounded optimistic he’d be back sooner than later.

That’s good news for TCU because it looked bad when it happened.
-
Yeah it did. Dixon reported no ACL/MCL issue either so hopefully he gets back to 100% at some point.
-
Wow I took TTU -2 last night, checked the score at half time and went to bed with a loss. Woke up this AM to a nice surprise LOL.
-
Come on WV beat TCU!
-
Alabama responded well to losing to OU. 101-44 helps the old analytics.
-
Final 4 team
-
Where can we get those glorified scrimmage games in the Big-12??

helps us but without Miles TCU in some trouble
-
@kuballin10 Alabama unlike their football team chokes every once a decade they have a decent team. 1st/2nd round flameout.
-
Is lampkin healthy? He sat out sat.
-
-
2 Tennessee gos down to Florida by 11
-
@BeddieKU23 what’s wrong? I know he went back in after his ankle sprain against us, something different?
-
North Carolina goes down and the runner ups who returned almost everyone are officially on bubble watch
-
Tennessee goes down to clear way for KU to move into the projected 1 seed
-
High ankle sprain seems to be taking a while to heal.
-
@Kcmatt7 Wow, we’ve got a lot of tough games to win before we earn a 1 seed.

@Kcmatt7 What is the reason for this debacle?

Tough as nails that one
-
I think only KU and Texas have overall winning road records this season. This second half of the conference season will be murder. Bill seems to be fired up and keeps saying this squad has little room for error. Yep.

This isn’t meant to rip on Mahomes toughness playing with his high ankle sprain, but it’s two different sports with different stress loads on the ankle. Basketball is a much more difficult sport to play with a high ankle sprain than QB is. A high ankle sprain is damage to the ligaments that connect the ankle to the tibia and fibula and affects jumping and vertical load more than horizontal load like a low ankle sprain. Both can limit mobility both ways, but each one affects mobility more in a different way if that makes sense.
We Mahomes struggle to push off amd get the zip on his passes he normally does because of his injury, but it’s something a QB can play through. With a basketball player, all the jumping and sprinting make it very difficult to play with a high ankle sprain because that’s where a lot of the pressure is directed in the body.

Nice little morsel here: Tucky fans are debating if they’ll even make it to the tourney, and are openly contemplating the NIT. One of their posters had this gem : “Could use the NIT to help keep up with Kansas in the wins department. Maybe.” LOL. He’s not even sure if going to the NIT would help them keep up with us…
