Did anyone note that, at last night’s Louisville game, the half time entertainment dog “relieved itself” on the court? Probably the dog’s opinion of the Louisville season…
-
@Gorilla72 yes it summed up their season well haha
-
@wissox go badgers!
-
@kjayhawks On Wisconsin!
-
-
@wissox them or Texas Tech has to have lost the most one or two possession games this season.
-
Any sports worth watching on tv tonight?
-
@approxinfinity We binged Full Swing on Netflix the last few days. Probably the best edited documentary I have ever seen. Dunno if people who don’t care at all about golf would like it, but I know several only-mildly-interested-in-golf fans who were thoroughly captivated. 8 episodes.
-
@mayjay thanks for the tip. Golf is a hard sell to the wife though, so maybe sometime on my own.
-
@mayjay I’ve seen several episodes. Good show. Was hoping for a snow day to watch some more but our forecasted 10 inches turned into a wet dusting that didn’t even stick to the streets. Been good so far.
-
@kjayhawks It’s been a lot it seems. Been a lot of nailbiters and with the urgency of must win games in recent weeks well it’s just been a lot of really tense games. Glad my Jayhawks have delivered the goods again this season!

My partner hates soccer but loved the super league: war for football doc on Apple TV+
-
@approxinfinity several lower conference tournaments going on. I enjoy watching them, not always good ball but sometimes there are great games with so much on the line.
-
@kjayhawks A dude at Detroit Mercy just missed breaking Pete Maravich’s career scoring mark. I read this:
Pete played in 83 games over three seasons and scored 6700 points or so. The 83 highest scoring games for an individual in all of NCAA the last 3 years adds up to around 3400!
-
Watching Alabama/TxAM. So far, so good. AM by 10 or so in the second half.
-
@wissox I was glad he didn’t get it, the only reason it was close was he had an extra year with Covid. Pete was just amazing especially when you figure no 3 point shot.
-
Iowa State going to fool around and Beat Baylor on Baylor’s home flloor if they not careful
-
I would of never thought but Iowa State just taking it to Baylor @ Baylor. Up 17 points with like 3:40 second to go
-
Maybe ISU had an addition by subtracting Grill
-
Must be a heckuva struggle to be a Baylor fan. All those good guards and their big guy back… then ZERO defense!
I can easily see them make an early exit in March.
-
A&M is going to do KU a huge favor and hopefully put Houston in the South and KU into the Midwest region.
-
Thank you, A&M
-
Yes at this point I’m sure hope KU isnt any worse than the 2nd number 1 seed. Is WV out today with a loss to KSU? Not looking good early
-
A KU win today sends KU to the Midwest. Jalen Wilson’s last chance at beating Texas. KU has been an ATS machine last few weeks. Im taking an alt line of -1 for +150.
-
TCU down 17 to Oklahoma at half
-
West Virginia beating Kst by 15 with a few minutes left. Ha

Go figure - -lat place team just knocks the og doo out of Alabama - -now beating the crap out of TCU
-
Always great to watch ranked teams then ESPN makes sure America still gets to see N Carol Duke - -that’s laughable
-
GTHD
-
Oklahoma spanked TCU, WV spanked KSU. ISU spanked Baylor and Texas spanked us. Tech Okie light in a tight one weird day
-
Today was not a good day to be a higher ranked team in the Big 12 or elsewhere. Marquette, Virginia, and Kentucky are the only ranked teams that won or didn’t lose to a lower ranked team so far today.
Also, KU has a habit of playing like garbage the game after they clinch a Big 12 title if it’s not a senior day game.
-
#FireHubert
-
UNC should have to atleast make the acc title game at this point

I think they are in real trouble. -Either 1-10 in quad one chances OR 0-11
-
KU can still get overall #1 seed if they win two games next week IMO
-
Anyone else watching UM at IU?
Michigan a wierd situation. I think the most talented B1G team. But they don’t play like it often enough. Currently “last 4 in”
-
Ended up being worth the watch. Wolverines let it slip away and may have put the nail the proverbial coffin as their tourney hopes are concerned
-
Did anyone watch the Houston / Memphis game? I have a question about that final play-- it looked like the Houston player used his arm to clear out the defender and get a clear shot… I thought that was an offensive foul… Did anyone else see that? (It loomed large as the shot hit with no time left on the clock and Houston won.)
-
@bskeet lol. Clark Kellogg said after that. “ya he did push off, but it was a good push off. I like the no call in that situation”
How does that work? Haha
-
Yeah. I heard them say something like – ‘he was able to get off an open shot’. Yeah… open because he cleared out the defender. That’s a bad no call.
I understand there is only 1 second left and it would likely give Memphis the win, provided he can hit 1 FT. But that would be fair because the shot was taken with an unfair advantage.
I can’t help but think of the recent game where the crew called like 7 offensive fouls in one half on us. We know that crews can call offensive fouls. Somewhere between calling 7 on a team in a half and no call when it determines the game would be nice.
-
I think we’d all be happy with just consistency throughout a game. It’s certainly a human element. But the game is not about you. Don’t put your handprint on it by altering the way or when or when on the clock you whistle. Right?
-
Maybe those refs were Bengals or Eagles fans and believe that no fouls should ever be called near the end of the game. “Let the players decide it!” snort…
-
I thought it was a push off but I know as a fact that MJ didn’t push off against the Jazz when he made that winning shot!
-
Old friend alert. Tristan Enaruna is on ESPN right now
-
@FarmerJayhawk happy for him! He was so laid back, but had talent.
-
Ol Tristan going off for Cleveland State. - -Has 17 points, hit a three would of given him twenty. - -They said he didn’t get it off in time , they were right.
They made a comment saying that they believe that Tristan could make history if Cleveland State wins and makes the NCAA Tourney. - Tristan would be the 1st player in the NCAA - to go to three consecutive NCAA tourney games in three straight years with Three different Teams. - Said they had been digging and had confirmed with the NCAA – -crazy good for him
-
Louisville nightmare ends 4-28 record.
-
Ok, watched some Zags/St Marys. Came away not impressed with either. Get a definite mid-major vibe here. On the other hand, ORU is a pretty good team. Love the way they defend, and attack on offense. Pretty good athleticism, and they have a 7+ footer. Definite potential bracket buster. Paul Mills is on the rise.

Watch out for Marquette - wouldn’t necessarily want to see them for at least awhile
-
@Jethro ORU also has a former Jayhawk on tge roster. Isaac McBride who was here for his freshman season and was 2nd Team All-Summitt this season.
St. Mary’s has a defense that can give KU fits and they play at a snail’s pace. KU is a better team, but SMC could dirty that game up enough to give them a shot.
