NCAA likely to fight that one since he declared for the draft and didn't withdraw (and this isn't an international prospect situation). Always a chance it doesn't hold up in court, but the NCAA has been consistent that players are no longer eligible after that so I feel like like it is a long shot that RJ is eligible when this is all played out.

Boy, things are really slow on this site . . . so I thought I'd share a story. Back in 1996, UMKC was looking for a new basketball coach. For "political" reasons, they formed a search committee. The committee of 24 had nothing to do with the selection, but it made a good cover. I was on the committee. We interviewed the three finalists: Mark Turgeon, Mike Anderson (who went on to head coach at Arkansas) and Bob Sundvold. Sundvold was the choice of the AD, probably because he had coached under Norm Stewart at Misery and had "taken the fall" for Norm over NCAA violations. The interview with Turgeon was memorable. I asked what I thought was a great question: "You've been an assistant to three great coaches. What did you learn from each of them?" Turgeon responded as though he had prepared for my question. "Coach Brown is the greatest in-game coach in the game. After almost every timeout, he'd come down to me as ask, 'Turg, what would you have done?' Coach Williams is exceptionally well organized. He taught me how to organize my day; how to organize practices. And Coach Green taught me how to deal with the media." Turgeon was well prepared and had a great interview. The other great question during that interview was "Coach Turgeon, what kind of players will you recruit?" Turgeon answered, "I'll recruit players who can shoot. I can teach them my offense, and I can teach them how to play defense. But I can't teach them how to shoot." Very memorable.

I've watched it. It's well done. I think CBS/Paramount picked these programs to follow based on their likelihood of making a deep run in march. WRT KU, not a whole lot was new for me, but it was interesting to see some behind the scenes. The documentary picked a player from each program to shadow and that was Darren P for KU and Yaxle L for Michigan. I felt there was striking contrast between these two players-- Yaxel allowed a great deal of transparency and access to his family, while Darren seemed guarded and less personable, with no reference to his family. There was also some interesting parallels / differences between Self and May. Worth a watch. Last episode drops April 18. Will feature post-season, which should be a rollicking fun ride for Wolverine fans.

Is Case is the one doing the portal scouting I hope and pray he leaves. I’ll give him some credit with Tre and Melvin. The problem is we don’t need a shooter, you need a minimum of two IMO. Tre was much improved in that department but really struggled going 2-15 in the post season.

@wissox83 What I personally find tiresome (this is not necessarily directed just at you) is the fact that this is supposed to be a forum for people to talk about sports (mostly) and talking about sports involves passion and opinions along with facts. I say what I feel, what I observe. I take off the Crimson and Blue glasses and I don't drink the Crimson and Blue kool-aid. Kansas is a program on the decline. That's not my opinion, that's a fact. Kansas men's basketball had not lost 11 games in a season since 1989! The past three years we've lost 11, 13 and 11. We have been bounced from the NCAA Tournament after the first or second games (against generally far inferior opponents) multiple timnes. That's right off the kuathletics.com website. Facts. Not opinions. So people can say I'm naysayer. Say that I'm negative. Say whatever they want to say. Have me banned. Chances are I'm just telling the truth and nobody wants to hear it.
