Some rumors/talk of Bruce Pearl been talking to Louisville about the possibility being Coach. - -Has been looking at property on a lake in vicinity
Because Pearl is the guy you want helming your team when you are trying to fight NCAA allegations.
would be going from a team on probation - - to a team on probation. - -sure not a step up , would be a lateral move. doesn’t make a lot of sense
Auburn to Louisville is definitely a step up. Louisville is a place you can win national championships at while Auburn is not. Pearl could have a monster at Louisville once their sanctions are done.

He has a very legit shot at winning the National title this year at Auburn. – Auburn is no joke - -Louisville though IS a joke. Don’t think you will have to worry about them making a title run. - Pearl ha the Auburn program at a level now where they are always going to filed a strong ball team even keel now with Louisville, unless they get a good Coach they are going to continue to waller in ehh ball, for sur not what they use to be

I’m not referring to this year specifically. Louisville has the same number of Final Four appearances as Auburn has NCAA tournament appearances. Louisville has 3 national titles to Auburn’s 1 Final Four that came under Pearl. Louisville is also committed long term to basketball whereas basketball is an afterthought at Auburn. Louisville is a top 10 all time program and you’re really going to try and argue Auburn that Auburn is an equal overall job? Sorry, but the two programs are not comparable to each other.

Sorry disagree. Auburn was more of a football program in the past - -not so much in the present day. Your final 4 appearances are something of the past. We are talking present and future. Bruce Pearl has brought the Auburn program up to the level where there IS interest in the Basketball program as evidenecd by the Auburn Kentucky game last Saturday - - insane atmosphere have one of the more talented players in the Nation in Jabari Smith. They are just not a football school anymore. In years past Maybe but not now. Yet it’s ok to have varying opinion you think how you like it’s fine. All I’m saying is in todays present and future Auburn is no dog have improve quite a bit and NOW at this point if not equal they are right there and I think now today - -lateral move
-
@BeddieKU23 You beat me to it. I actually tuned in and thought, good lose, Auburn. Now I’m glad they won.
-
Iowa St won in OT by 3 over Oklahoma St on the road.
Oklahoma beat Huggy Bear by 10 in Morgantown.
-
I feel sorry for W VA players, Huggy must not be a happy camper.
-
Jeebus, this Gonzaga 7 foot freshman is awesome. So far tonight I’ve seen him drive for a dunk in the half court, drive full court to the rim, hit a few threes, dribble. Highly skilled.
-
@rockchalkjayhawk Still surprised mock drafts don’t have him going #1. I know the other guys in the convo are good, but he’s a freak of nature.

No kidding. Ya know, having seen him play just a few times, he reminds me a little bit of Danny Manning. Dunno if he’s got his passing skills though. One of the announcers last night said something about him being the possible No 1 pick.
-
He was touted #1 after a couple games, especially for ball-handling, then struggled a couple times and reality set in waiting for more consistency across the board. If I recall correctly…
-
Melo… Melo… Melooooo…
And then Embiid steps in.

A lot of it is his lack of muscle. He is a stick and will need some time to bulk up in the NBA before he plays to his potential at that level. Once he adds bulk, does he lose any of what makes him a gifted player?
Those questions are why he’s not #1 and Banchero and Smith are more likely to picked ahead of Holmgren.
-
I dunno I might well be getting a wrong take off this but thought Bruce Weber m made kind of an odd statement after Baylor the other night. - --Weber said that their game Today is a HUGE game a statement game and could make their Season - -I would think your Conference games would mean more
-
Wondering as I can’t remember . - Were we ever involved or in consideration for A J Davis ?
-
KU women won by 14 in Stillwater today to move to 13-5 overall and 4-4 in league play.

Schneider did a heck of a job overhauling that roster in the portal. That being said he’s never struck me as a particularly good coach.
-
Kentucky moved up 5 spots in the polls to where KU was before Saturday. Biggest jump of the week.
Duke stayed neutral. I was fully expecting they’d move up after beating a team without a coach.
5 ranked Big-12 teams in the AP Poll.
-
Good GOD - - Duke on top of Norte Dame in the 2nd half - - 27-14. - - 14 points and in the 2nd half
-
Dang TCU up on Oklahoma at Norman - -ewl was up 11 but now only ONE mercy
-
West Virginia up 10 on Baylor at Waco in the 2nd half
-
Baylor was a little dirty in that game. Especially Sochan.
-
Jamir got him a decent team I watched most of that - 15-4 now-- they should at this point be in the tourney. That’s not saying they will be in the end BUT right now they should be
-
Latest Bracketology , TCU in pretty solid their up from like last 4 in or whatever up to a # 8 seed. - I’m not that upset with that , they got a decent club - -they up to a 8 and WV has been knocked out to the first 4 out
-
Love the feel/energy in this UT vs TTU game.
I’d be lying though if I didn’t want to see UT rip the crowds heart out
-
I’d be hype too. Beard changes teams like babies change their diapers

Going to be a really fun rivalry for as long as he’s there. Love it

More disappointing season, Carr or Remy?

Definitely a tie right now. Carr is not good but he plays a lot more

Bryson Williams would score 20ppg for Self

EASILY. Any possession that he wouldn’t get a touch Bill would foam off at the mouth.
-
Wow that was one of the weakest flop warnings I’ve seen all season

@Kcmatt7 and we’d play some great shooting team and get down 21-10 in the first 5-7 minutes
Villanova haunts me
-

Social Media reporting Mark Adams & Chris Beard had a bit of a confrontation at the Texas Tech arena last night. Ohhhh the plot thickens here.
That’s what happens when you leave a team you coached at, were an assistant coach for a long time and then go cross town for money to a rival & inter-conference team. Just how its gon’ go
-
KU Women with a nice win tonight .65-56 over Oklahoma St , makes Ku to 14-5 on the year and 5-4 in the Big 12. - - 1st time KU had a season sweep of Okie State since 95-96 - The ladies went on a 20-0 run in a come back from 14 down at one point. - - The ladies Big - Jackson had 18 points - - 12 rebounds - -and 4 blocks. - -Nice job ladies
-
Roll Schneid
-
Can’t remember the last time if ever when the Ladies have won 5 League games- - good to see some improvement
-
Bryce Thompson had 22 pts last night for OSU in a losing effort at K-State.
-
He’s been really solid in conference play this year.

I think Bryce is starting to find himself - - Good for him , just another case of not the right fit, maybe he put to much pressure on himself at the beginning. He was highly ranked and felt he had to really produce more and didn’t meet those expectations of himself. - -Could be a Grimes 2.0 - -look how Quinton turned out - -look where he is now - -it happens

Arizona is the best team in the west. That’s a massive front line.

Depends on the night. They were good tonight and both games with UCLA played out similarly with the home team looking dominant and not really being challenged too hard each game.

I love how that AZ big man would follow Jacquez out to perimeter, and blanket him. That was a dominant defensive performance. Hope we don’t see them anytime soon.

God Georgia is pathetic at basketball
