  Creighton is in the same conference as Villanova, UConn, and Georgetownbwhich are all programs that can recruit top 50 talent with relative ease. Creighton elevating their recruiting shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Same deal with Wichita St. being able to recruit a different caliber of player once they moved to the AAC.

  Hate to see guys leave, but I’m not sure if I remember a player leaving and think KU or the player would have been better off with him still here. AWIII and Grimes… are those the two most successful? Frankamp? Milton Doyle? Find the right fit. Bitter guys poison the entire locker room. Tristan just seemed to be putting in the time to ultimately play back in Europe, which is fine, but I never saw any passion for the US college game.

  Q had a hard time adjusting too. He’s young for his class (didn’t turn 19 until May of his FR year) so it wasn’t the easiest transition for him. Which happens. About 1/5 freshmen transfer nationwide. No hard feelings.

  yep- I actually bough his jersey last year - a first for me in over 27 years of following the team - some guys you just like more than others for some reason, and I liked him imediately. I aways was drawn to the role-player do it all defensive guys, who are 100 percent Jayhawk from the get-go. All signs point to him leaving to make some money somewhere. I don’t see him sticking to an NBA team, maybe G-league, or perhaps better overseas, then ,most likely getting into the coaching ranks. HCBS will help him get a coaching job at some point. He was also one of Self’s fav all time guys I feel.

  The team looked exhausted. The weave seemed to be a waste of energy, no one looking for an opening. More of a passing drill than being used to free up anyone, with little effort to pass in and out to Dave or Mitch at the high post. Wilson was used there at first and then seemed to be playing random ball. Still, it was an interesting season. Have to be proud of the team for resurrecting the regular season with tenacious defense, amid making many adjustments in training and schedules due to pandemic. “…and some days the bear eats you.”
