  @DoubleDD I think it is worth considering that taking a roster that changes every season, and then to win at the rate Cal has won at, is pretty impressive. He knows how to deal with and adjust to all types of players and skill sets. I wonder why we don’t win all of our games even though we have more talent that everyone we play, save UK or Duke? It’s just not that easy. That said, I get your point … at some point, talent overwhelms. But winning involves more than talent. It’s why CBB is such a great game. Nearly anyone in the tourney can knock off teams at the top.

  @HighEliteMajor We need to save this post and revisit when the season starts and again in mid December. Just so we can see who the prophets are in here. I’ll chime in too. Yes I think Lawson will be a great player this season. Him and Doke Charlie Moore might start the season in the starting 5 and give his starting spot up later to Dotson. And yes it appears he can shoot very well. Remember KU fans, our backcourt this year is not as inexperienced as our backcourt in '14 with Wiggs, Selden and Frank. Grimes has already had some great experience this summer with Coach Self at the U-19 games and we have Garrett and Moore heading into their second years. We are far deeper than we have been in quite some time. The competitiveness within the team should help everyone get better and learn Self’s system. We will be fine people. Quit freaking out! DeSousa will play. We wont have as many >40% trey shooters this season but I think we will have enough to be just fine. I’ll list my probabbles. lol. (Moore, Garrett, Ochai, Lightfoot, Dedric and KJ.

Mizzourah is pretty fowl, so the Hawks may fly over to drop some butt bombs. Maybe they try to target a Baldknobber or two.

  @BShark I would hope for better too … Grimes is farther along. But game-wise, when I was recalling Oladipo his final college year, they seem to have a similar game. I just happened to look at Oladipo’s stats after your post … holy cr*p, Oladipo shot 30% from three his freshman year, 20% from three his sophomore year, and then over 40% his junior season. Marcus Garrett, where are you?

  @justanotherfan Thanks! They didn’t just shoot threes! They are actually good at something else which is one of my points. The other being Nova was beatable, but they got lucky that Tech sucked that game. (I watched they missed a ton of wide open shots).
