@REHawk
I believe that article was more of a tongue in cheek, wishful thinking type of story and likely not even close to reality. The team is based in Prienai, a town of under 10,000 people or a tenth the size of Lawrence and it plays in a gym with a capacity of 1,500 but typically has 100 fans for games but I expect the Ball freak show will draw bigger crowds until the novelty wears out.
The team is said to be in financial trouble and I imagine they are not paying them very much at all; they get free publicity and Lavar gets to say he got the kids a pro contract. I give the experiment a couple of months at the most. Here is a story that gives a better idea of the condition they will be in.

Excellent point about presumption of innocence that is often misinterpreted. Also because guilt cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt does not necessarily mean the accused is innocent, as you mentioned, and hence the “not guilty” rather than “innocent” verdict.
Now I have a question for you. In the Kate Steinle case in San Francisco, the defendant was found not guilty because the defense claimed the shooting was accidental and the result of of mishandling the gun. Shouldn’t he have been then convicted of involuntary manslaughter? Isn’t this the textbook definition of it? Was jury nullification the only reason for this verdict? I have read dozens of articles on the issue from all sides and I don’t believe I read one that finds the verdict was correct.
@kjayhawks
I agree, LiAngelo was a 3-star player coming out of High School and not an NBA prospect. He also pulled LaMelo out of HS because the coach told the team, forget about taking 50 shots per game, it is not happening here but had a coach with a 30-3 record fired first. Ido’t know why schools cater to this clown
He said he can go to the streets of LA and pick guys to practice in his own court at home that would be better competition than UCLA. I understand they are now looking at overseas opportunities for both of them; too bad China is out of the question.

The Big 12 is pretty tough in women’s hoops.
Texas, Baylor and West Virginia all ranked in the top 15, with Oklahoma State, OU and KSU all having solid programs.
The first step for KU is to demonstrate that we are better than TCU, Texas Tech and Iowa State. That gets us out of the basement.
Then show that we can compete with OU, OSU and KSU. That puts us in the middle of the conference.
We aren’t ready to take on the big three yet, but showing that we can play with the teams in the middle of the conference is a huge step for a struggling program.

@jayballer54
It is not unusual for ineligible players to miss trips. If I recall correctly Bragg missed the Kentucky and Baylor trip while his situation was resolved. Maybe Billy’s mom though she could hitch a ride to Miami with the team and Coach Self nixed the idea and gave him a way to save face. Considering the apparent lack of transparency from Billy’s side it would not surprise me.

@JayHawkFanToo Agree with you about the injuries. - -I think losing Madison for that stretch of what 4 games right? - -I think that played a big role, during that time with her being out we really struggled. - Opposition was even more better to really focus on Kelsie, so I think that played a role for sure.
Secondly Kelsie was just not the Kelsie of previous years , they talked about how she struggled last night during the match. - -True she ended with double digit kills , BUT the amount of swings it took for her to get those double digit kills was pretty large. - -Something just seemed out of kilter with her for a big majority of the season.
Then I don’t know maybe reading more into it then is there, but just seemed like we missed Cassie Waite more then what people may of realized, she was so instrumental during the years past Just seemed like for most the season the chemistry - - -timing was just off all season a bit.
Very true next season going to be hard - going to be rebuilding, but yet we still have some good pieces back I think. - - Alexander is back 6’4 hits the ball very well - -I think Zoe Hill is back , dam can’t think of her name at the minute but the girl that replaced Cassie is back - -dam what is her name again? - -I think Coach is going to work hard, not in any danger of being fired that’s crazy no way is he close to being fired.
Pretty disappointing season coming off a Big 12 championship season but I don’t feel we will fall back to mediocre status. - Think we will still be right there. No doubt work to be done. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
Well, my picks yesterday went 4-6. Not a great day, but I’ve had worse. They say you have to basically win 52% of your games to be able to turn a profit.
Losses
Memphis really let me down. Got smoked.
Elon game was a 1 point loss, I should have followed my own advice and taken the spread.
MSSU had a guy go off for 37 I think last night. Rest of their team struggled, but he was good enough by himself to cover the spread.
If you bought two on the Cavs game, you could have won.
TTU was very disappointing last night. Gave up too many points. Not a team that is going to win track meets.
UNCW and ECU went into OT and I just ended up on the wrong side of it.
Wins
MSU did basically what I predicted. Pulled away with 10 left.
Temple crushed it.
Celtics plaid Great
Missouri ground out a win in a boring game, minus the awe that UCF has a 7’6 player.
Imagine how quickly the Chancellors would have counsel find a way to end minor sports if the petroshoecos pulled out.
Yesterday!
They would lobby the Fed’s and that would be that.
I would gladly give up the minor sports to get the petroshoecos and their summer game teams out of control of where recruits have to go.
I detest what the petroshoeco capture of college ball has done.
March Carney.
Apparent Tournament engineering with whistle asymmetry and biased seeding.
The same 4-6 schools with the best shot EFY.
It is all so contrived.
Endless rule changes aimed not at improving the game but at making sure the OADs get their hype.
D1 is captured by a shoe oligopoly.
It’s run like a car business, not a sport.
4-6 teams.
The rest are irrelevant.
