I’ve had some hardships over the past year and life can be a complicated mess but everyone has their ups and downs.
I got a big promotion a year ago but the benefits haven’t outweighed the negatives so I’m at a crossroads. It has brought me financial stability in these hard times though which I’m thankful for but I know I’m going to have to make a decision one way or the other at some point.
My son has become fully invested in baseball this year and the journey still continues. He went from Little League to All Stars to now travel ball and will pitch in his first 9U kid pitch game tomorrow so that’s very exciting. I’m a nervous wreck but can’t wait to see him perform. We have lived at the baseball field since April, and it’s been an honor to watch him grow as a person and player. I don’t think we’ll know what to do with ourselves when the travel season ends next month but basketball is next up for him and he’s excited for that. Hopefully this year I can get him into watching some KU games with me as he was curious at times last season.
With work - similarly I got a promotion about a year ago. Then immediately we were (are) and industry current administration is going after. Caused a ton of stress. Went to therapy to help me understand why I was hating work so much. It very much helped keep things in perspective. Just a thought if you haven’t tried it first before leaving.
Congrats on the baseball! Good luck to him pitching! I miss playing baseball at that age more than any other competitive sports I played.
My 6 year old came home singing this, which he picked up at school. I guess theres a clapping game that goes with it. I enjoyed the regional variations in the reddit thread.

I wonder if you guys have encountered any similar spoken word things (or other things) that varied greatly by region?
I actually get this question more than most being from a smaller community where you pretty much farm or work in the oil patch, a place that’s filled with KSU fans. As noted we didn’t have a ton growing up, we played outside most the time not having cable but the winters were long and back in them days you could watch a good chunk of KU games with bunny ears. I started watching in the mid 90s and have been a KU fan ever since. The first team I remember watching I believe to be the 96-97 team with Pierce, Vaugh, Raef and co. A ton of guys I went to school with back then loved KU basketball and switched to KSU later on but don’t admit it. I just grew up watching and never changed, I wouldn’t change just because KSU has an AG program. Seems kinda silly to me.
@Jayballer54 I was looking for a thread to offer advice or at least express an opinion and find out about expensive Christmas presents and the Hokey Pokey Ballad. Still going to make an observation here…
In the last week we had a couple of great wins and we are setting alone at the top of the league for an incredible streak. It should be an Oh, happy day.
Then I see other threads on what will happen next week when we shoud be discussing tomorrow’s game or nothing at all. Another post is about can’t hardly wait til next year because of the great recruits.
I’m not concerned about OU (today) and I guarantee Bill is not making it an issue of that game. I am happy recruiting is going well but for now I’m just enjoying the moment thanks to coach and our boys.
Oh, happy day.
I have six 1/2 gallon glass jars of different ferments going right now that should kick any kind of disease or illness. I have researched blank DNA and My diet includes eating things that stimulate bone marrow cell reproduction to make new blank cells. The theory behind it is that as a child your bone marrow produces much more blank stem cells to actually grow the body to adulthood. Example If my son cuts his hand and I cut my hand at the same time his hand will heal faster. If you feed your bone marrow your body regenerates faster from injury and replaces damaged cells like aging skin cells with new more healthy skin cells reducing aging appearance. I took some before pictures and in 6 months I will take a few more just to compare. Doubt I will share them but if its a HUGE difference I may?
This is the same doctor accused of abuse with the national gymnastics team. No surprise that this wasn’t isolated to just that team. Tragic that it went on this long.
@Red.Rooster Thank you for that my friend. - -I mean I don’t know the kid personally ya know but - -you just have to ask why - why does this have to happen . - -just pray things will turn for him - thoughts and prayers. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
@wissox
Why that’s just damned CIA-MEMED CONSPIRACY THEORY talk!!!
HOWLING!
You’re not suggesting D1 football is as legally rigged as D1 basketball appears and as the California Democratic primary was reputedly found to have been in court, are you?
The reputed 2016 California primary rigging scandal seems kind of crucial to remember. The court reputedly found that Private organizations like the DNC and RNC are reputedly legally allowed to rig their own primaries, if they want to. IF TRUE, THINK ABOUT THAT!
(Note: seems like it’s time to form a party that guaranties it runs an honest primary. Now there is a party I would be eager to join. Let’s call it the Honest Party!!!)
Aren’t the athletic departments of D1 programs private not for profits, like DNC and RNC? Isnt the NCAA a private not for profit? Would it therefore be legal for the private NCAA and the private athletic departments to rig both the March Carney and the Bollwevil Bowl football championship how ever they see fit, so long as other laws are NOT broken?
We as laymen can only wonder.
But wake the F up, people!!!
The founders left us this system thinking we weren’t total saps!
Let’s not let them down any longer.

Anyone trying to give LaVar Ball money deserves to be taken for a fool, in my not-so-humble opinion. He is the worst thing in sports since the introduction of television timeouts and TV Blackouts.
Couldn’t be said any better - -on top of that the idiot is a JOKE plain and simple. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
@AsadZ And the same back to you. I don’t get offended by anybody’s comments. I enjoy EVERYONEs comments and I try to read each and every one of them. It is interesting and it helps fill by idle time. AsadZ … Have a blessed year in 2018 and keep up with your comments on KUbuckets. Thank you for participating.
This afternoon West Virginia travels to the Octogon of dumb to face KSU. West Virginia has ratttled off 12 straight wins since being spanked by Texas A &M to open the season. KSU has played a sub par schedule that includes losing a nail biter to ASU and a loss to Tulsa in Wichita. Both started off the conference season with road wins. Is KSU gonna contend in the big 12? Or are they a pretender?
