Damn, Maryland coming back from a 17 down against Minnesota and hitting a game winning 3 with 1.9 seconds left to stay in the mix for that 4th 1 seed.

@Texas-Hawk-10 That Maryland win seemed almost inevitable as down the stretch player after player on Minnesota seemed determined to make stupider plays than the previous one. Pitino needed to call a timeout and calm them down when it got to 6 but he let it go despite having 2 to use. By the time he did, Gophers were in desperation mode, with players doing the “I want to be the hero!” thing. Very sad.

Maryland has been playing a lot of hero ball lately. The win against Michigan St wasn’t as dramatic as that one but man they are getting lucky/clutch play.
If your the Minnesota player covering Morsell (a career 27% 3pt shooter) what can ya do, the reaction said it all.

Ok , now let me say I’m a big as Marsha hater as the next guy, but I’ve got a question. - -Was watching them against Temple. - -Wichita State is now 21-7 on the year and yet they all talking about how Wichita State can not lose about they are squarely on the bubble and just can not afford to lose.
So how can a team be 21-7 now and one of the last 4 in. I know there has to be a logical explanation , especially with College Basketball being down across the board this season and 21-7 and your squarely on the bubble ?

understand. Yet with their record the way it is 21-7 and College Basketball being in a sad state this season, you start passing guys up like this your field going to be filled with teams with losing records

I’m watching the Tx/TTech game. TT is getting a bunch of offensive foul calls in the first half. That’s something for KU to watch out for next Sat. I’m also impressed with the TT fans. They are actually part of the game, unlike other Big 12 arenas.

Tennessee I think closed as a 1 point favorite so that’s not so weird, but they dominated the first 32 minutes of the game. Up 17 at one point.

How is WVU still ranked at 20 with a 7-8 record in the Big 12? I’m of course assuming with this beat down at home by OU that they will drop out. But really guessing they are 19-10 overall after this with and 7-9 in conference. I’d have to guess they are at risk for tournament, but somehow currently showing #20…Mystery

Could the B12 be playing their way into being a 6 bid league now with the run Texas is on. Beating WVU and Tech in the same week is looking pretty good and they could end up as high as the 3 seed in the B12 tournament.

Seriously, is there anyone who is capable of winning 6 straight games in March??? The 'Hawks managed to win on the road, but by 4 against the last place team in the B12 - which has lost 9 straight games. Other than Dotson, offense was abysmal. Baylor, FSU, Villanova and Duke lose. Maryland getting whipped early by MSU. Maybe Dayton is the real deal - only 2 losses, both in OT (one to KU, of course)? Sadly, UK looking pretty good right now.

@DCHawker UK is going to end up with a 1 seed now imo.
Presumably someone will win 6 games in a row but it feels wide open for sure.
I think we will be okay if Doke is healthy and KSU played the hardest and best they have all year pretty much. Very interesting that they whipped WVU too. I do think they would have a better record if they played like they did against KU every game. At least 4 games better.
