Adding another guy for the 4 certainly helps mitigate risk at the very least.

The reality is that with both Udeh and Zuby on the roster, one was eventually going to have to transfer if they wanted significant playing time because neither one can play the 4.

Yeah, if we get Hunter the best path for Zuby next year is to redshirt if he sticks. That way he’d have two years post-Hunter and one post-Udeh.

Well - -that’s good if things might be looking better for Hunter- -but then also - -DAM - -DAM - -DAM cause of Zuby possibly. dog gonnit, Zuby just seems to have a really great personality- -full of life-- hustles his ass off, just a freshman that is/was learning. I know nothing 100 % but if it does turn out -Dam I really liked Zuby -why couldn’t it be if it had to be Cj who from I hear is kinda un-coachable

Agree buddy - -if this comes to pass then we can’t blame the kid for leaving. I thought him and Udeh had a promising future here by committee if needed, however if getting Hunter then ya know Zuby needs to do what’s best for Zuby and wish him the best

Probably not guy , and you really can’t blame him. It’s just a crazy situation - -reading now and kinda still makes me nervous, over on the Kentucky Boards a lot of talk NOW Villanova being the leader possibly. - y they said off a tweet that it was most likely a Villanova - - Maryland - - KU race with UK being a slight dark horse-- -with it being Villanova and then Maryland both mentioned makes me feel more like playing closer to home might be weighing more heavily on this then what I thought

I definitely get this take, but if Dickinson is here for 2 years Zuby wouldn’t see the floor until he was a Senior. I would understand him leaving.

As of a couple weeks ago Zuby was just bummed he got injured and that is what he blames for his lack of playing time down the stretch. - paraphrasing what he said. Not disgruntled in the least. I would hate to see him pushed out the door.

Don’t think Zuby would be pushed out tbh, Self would welcome him back.
Poor phrasing - Recruited over to the point of not getting any playing time and thus running for the door.
Only playing one big at a time severely limits minutes for the post players, but it’s had the best results.

Roster construction is odd, but also very talented? (assuming you land Hunter and Mgbako).

Ya was talking about Dickinson going to Maryland. - Sounds like it is all done just got to put the wrap around it. not sure exactly when he will announce looks like towards evening possibly today. When I seen it was down to or rumor had it down to Maryland - -Villanova - & Ku I thought ut oh - - The sway of playing closer to home was jsut to much whether we provide bigger NIL or not.
There was all kind of talk late yesterday about Maryland be the leader and pretty much DONE

If Hunter does end up at Maryland then there becomes a HUGE question for us this year. - Where does our scoring come tom ? - We are going to have a real struggle to score enough to win games. Jalen , Gray , & Kevin all gone which that was the majority of our point production. Who fills those voids ? - -Juan ? -no way does his production increase that much . - KJ ? - -Nope. - -Udeh ? - - not unless he makes a MAJOR jump. - - -Sure I mean Timberlake will score some - - Morris will score some - -BUT are their points gonna match Jalens ? - -Gradys ? -I don’t think so , no on a consistent basis anyways , I just think unless we can still find a proven legit scorer , that guy that’s going to go out and get you buckets - -we might be in trouble

on sam vecenie’s recent draft board he was 73. My guess is if he gets any type of guarantee(two way contract etc) he’ll declare. The process for him will also take a while since he’s going to the combine

If we are reaching out to others 5’s as @jayballer67 said - that doesn’t ensure confidence. I don’t think Hunter has said anything so we are handling it well still touching base with other 5’s to be safe.

From what I have heard and seen hunter is suppose I guess to announce today sometime - -just not sure when

Don’t think anyone truly knows where HD is committing. Or even if he is committing. Seems like he likes this attention so much that he might never commit anywhere! lol
