So now we will see if Ingram ends up showing up for his visit here or not. - -If he shows - then it’s NOT over , If he shows and Bill has that chance at him - ,good we have that Chance after those other guys have had theirs. - -Kinda just like Kentucky having a shot at their sell after us with Hunter - we got the last word- -we shall see.

ingram gone. Only other wing options that have been suggested are Tyson and I guess mgbako? Second one seems like an extreme long shot.

You know I love it, and it happens more and more , and I’m not talking necessarily here -but on other KU sites as well as other sites how these thing play out. Example people were talking about what a great catch it would be if Ingram landed here, how he was a really good player and be a great fit, a nice replacement nice fit , would be the answer at the 4 - -and BAM as soon as Ingrams announces or any other player announces it’s all the same so predictable response beyond funny it’s pathetic. you can mark it down the remarks are going to now become :
OH well he really isn’t that good of player anyways - - - OR - - we really didn’t want him that much any ways - -OR no big loss-- OR he was a back up plan anyways - -so & so is a better player anyways - -it’s fricken funny
Come on , DAM – just frickin admit it - -WE MISSED - -WE WIFFED , holy crap have a big enough set of stones to admit we fuck - - up we blew it, the way we handled the recruitment. Doesn’t make the kid any less of a player for announcing that he WAS NOT coming to KU - -somebody dropping the GD ball You know it - We know it , they all know it. - We just flat missed.
Now all of a sudden you start to see guys that was mentioned before that at the time they were passes - - not as good - - supposedly NOW you will start seeing the same scenario that OH well ya he is a really good player -the same player that wasn’t squat a week ago is now instantly A LOT better ya let’s take him - - he is better anyways lmao it’s just comical. - We had all these kids that was so interested in us names mentioned or were interested in them , then they end up somewhere else and then they just automatically become YMCA players - - come on Dam, let’s be real who you trying to bullshit, cause I ain’t buying it. They are still the same players and the fact is a lot of these kids by passing KU cause they feel they are getting slow played

Tyson is back in the picture because we whiffed on ingram and there’s just a lack of wings on the market now. Hakim hart committed to nova, mgbako’s whole situation is weird, and looking at the current nba draft entrants that may come back to college does not look good. I guess pray Julian Phillips comes back to college and doesn’t go to auburn?

I like Tyson more than Ingram. Better athlete, shooter and attacker heck rebounder.
If Bill feels the same way and thinks he can land Tyson after initially thinking he had no interest (Tyson in KU) then I can see why we pivoted. What stinks is if we strike out on Tyson and could have easily had Ingram.
Wonder about that kid from Montana state as well

Well I used to freak out and every time Self finds a way so I’m trying to stay the course.
Ingram wasn’t on my must have list. I would have talked myself to liking him if we did get him. Weirdly Hunter isn’t what I want either but if we do get him, I’ll be ecstatic.

More guys will enter after the draft combine and etc. I know it’s hard not to be reactionary especially after the Ingram news but it’s probably best to stay calm.

Dickinson is still the biggest priority for KU and the centerpiece of the transfer class. If KU misses on him, then there could be some legitimate concern about where the scoring comes from next season.

Dickinson, Tyson, Timberlake and whoever is behind door 4 is 1 seed.
Without Dickinson we need two more scoring wings to pair with Timberlake. Whether Tyson, Battle from Mont st or some late draft dropout it doesn’t matter who just get some dudes.
Juan, kj, udeh, Zuby, Elmarko, Adam’s and Timberlake are a solid core

Tyson and Battle aren’t locks to be big time scorers here and would still leave KU significantly undersized at pretty much every position, especially if KJ still started at the 5 next season and even at the 4 he’d be a little undersized. Without Dickinson, there’s a legitimate chance KU’s leading scorer is somewhere around 13 ppg and KU would need to have 4 guys in that 10-13 ppg range along with 3 or 4 more guys in the 6-9 ppg range.

I’m not super concerned at this point if we land HD. I still think there is decent chance Kevin returns after his NBA workouts. I think the chance of him get drafted is pretty fat personally. With him returning, HD coming and the incoming freshman we will be okay. Worried about outside shooting at that point but that’s why we got Timberlake.

no smoke about it but today is the last day for Holmes to decide if he wants to go to the draft or not. I’d assume he declares at least for feedback

Earlier this spring, the NCAA sent out a memo regarding two-time transfers who aren’t classified as graduate transfers. In the past, undergraduate student-athletes could apply for waivers to be eligible immediately, citing any number of reasons: a coaching change, a coach “running them off” in favor of a better player, or something else. The new memo clearly states those reasons aren’t going to be approved anymore. Essentially, the only acceptable reasons for undergraduate waivers will now be issues relating to mental health, physical well-being, discrimination and learning disabilities.
