The best defense is a good offense sort of game plan for both teams.
-
Iowa is just hoping they go cold from outside. Their zone is awful
-
None, Self would have already quit if we ever played defense like both of these teams
-
Some Iowa players were saying seriously that they were the best defensive team in the country before the tournament started. How’s that going right now?
-
Talk about blowing smoke up their own
-
Their man was even worse tbh
-
Can’t remember the last time I saw a half with 102 pts total
-
Hot Take: Iowa couldn’t guard me and 4 other bucketeers
-
There is no one on the floor that Garza can guard. That is really killing them. Also, when you make everything you look really good. This is the first time I have watched Oregon at all and they look damn good.
-
A charge was taken. Defense can now go away
-
Only 24 points scored in the 2nd half so far in 6 minutes. Or about KU’s average for the first half in 20
-
Thinking ahead if KU were to play Oregon. Marcus Garrett guards Omoruyi. Would be an absolute waste of time to put Dave on him. He’s George Niang with athleticism
-
Hot Take: Iowa as a #2 seed was the worst seeding in the entire tournament
-
Agreed. I picked them to lose to GCU. And I had Oregon going to the S16.
-
BIG Embarrassment, but I don’t mind Iowa losing. The worry is that the PAC12 is feeling all high and mighty and USC is very confident now.
-
So now we have the chance to take down two Pac-12 schools in a row. Not mention avenging the 2017 tourney loss to the Ducks.
First things first though…gotta get past the Trojans.
-
Garza was always going to get his points. The key was to stop everyone else.
Oregon D held three of their starters scoreless.
-
Well I’ll say this Oregon couldn’t possibly score like this again.
-
@nwhawkfan In the BIG tournament Wisconsin let Luka score almost at will and hung in there. Iowa only pulled away when some of the others started scoring.
-
well guessed I missed it. - -So what I’m seeing or at least sounding like is – -Illinois AND Iowa both lost yesterday?
-
One of my favorite KU games was in the Elite 8 in 2002 we played Oregon and just steam rolled them. Aaron Miles was flying all over. Oregon had Luke Recker (?) who was their big star, but we had some quality and depth on that team. Just a great game.
-
Ya I know very early but Reaves just going off for Oklahoma
-
OU delivering the best defense Gonzaga has seen all season.
-
If OU wants ANY CHANCE - -ANY CHANCE at all they can’t afford going in at half any further down then like 7 at most I would think
-
@bskeet And…water finds its level.
-
OU was took to the woodshed just as everyone else that has trying to beat them.
-
@BeddieKU23 ya after he hit his 1st try Manik chunking up 40 ft shots REALLY HELPS got guys catching right at the hole and kicks it up - - WTF ? - -WIDE OPEN you can’t miss opportunities like that and expect to have any chance. - then Kruger taking Manik AND Reaves out at the same time - come on man you gotta roll the dice there is no tomorrow , you just have to rely on the guys not to commit silly fouls these guys worthless on the bench and where the hell you gonna score from with them out
-
Harkless looks shook
-
I monitor ticket prices and I’m shocked Michigan tickets are really low of all the remaining games yet they’re the closest to Indy. I don’t know if their fans are not confident because of the injury to Livers or what, but it’s surprising.
-
If manek was playing KU he would make shots
-
If Reaves was playing KU He would fake and cry for foul calls but instead takes step back bricks
-
When our game is beginning, we’ll be in the sweet 17
-
OU goose cooked. Big 12 down to the two best
-
Will give OU some credit - thought they might cash it in, but they’ve been putting up a decent fight. Scoring - just can’t stop the Zags. Doesn’t help when Zags get four shots on one possession and Timmie doesn’t get call for an obvious travel down low (moved his pivot twice). And, OU getting called for some questionable fouls; but not GU.
-
Ou made is so the announcers couldn’t go all lance blanks and talk about their book collections
-
Reaves has some greyson Allen in him. Not the good part either
-
Why don’t teams foul and try to extend the game anymore?
-
Like they should have fouled a minute and a half ago.
-
Was it a push umm ya - -BUT a hard push ? - -give me a fricken break. - -If your gonna give that to these little golden spoon babies that then call the game and name a score now - - PLEASE we got hit a lot harder then that in practice -come on get real
-

OU didn’t have fouls to give to be able to do that. At that point, they had too many guys already with 4 fouls like Harkless and Reaves so players would’ve been fouling out who OU needed to keep on the floor.
-
Watching the UCLA game, even more unfathomable that UT lost to Abilene-Christian. Yes, they play hard, but they simply can’t score…
-
Dam Cam Thomas from LSU leads the Nation in Free Throws now forgot which one it was but lads the Nation at either Free Throws Made - - or Free Throws Attempted - -188 - - shooting 87 %
-
I don’t know who to root against harder in this Michigan LSU matchup, so I’m cheering on Creighton
-
First team to 40 might win the Colorado Florida State game
-
I hate referees. Screwing Michigan right now
-
Someone remind me how many games Javonte Smart sat out?

2 words…trey burke. As much as I hate the sec…Michigan is still in my 20 year hatred for a tournament battle.
I’m pretty childish when it comes to teams beating ku in the tourney.
-
Mercy that was the most obvious blown call Michigan totally stepped out of bounds on the drive so what do the ref’s do - - they call a foul on LSU LMAO YA THAT WORKS
-
Chaundee Brown a recruit Self lost to Danny Manning having a big game for Michigan. Always wanted him in crimson and blue
-
@BeddieKU23 I was just going to say…
Just goes to show how impactful transfers can be. Malik also proof of that.
Bill needs to really hit the transfer market hard
