KU vs Vandy
-
@BeddieKU23 So what will Kevin Stalling’s 1/2 time adjustments be?
-
-
We’ve had nine guys in the game - everyone with a rebound except one – guess who?
-
5-9 threes, 3-17 two-pt shots
-
Vandy’s defense is going to make us earn this.
Good news is that we are not playing well but are still in good shape. We are going to wear them down.
Mick hustles and tries hard, but he is out of control a lot of the time.
-
@DCHawker There’s #1
-
He just got one!!!
-
@DCHawker Never mind - he just got on the board(s).
-
And now there shots start falling…jeez
-
Finally tie it up, now down 6 again. I just don’t like how this is going
-
I put the over on shots that missed the rim at 10
-
Nm
-
Ugly half. Lucky to only be down by 4.
-
What are Self’s half-time adjustments?
-
Was that JT who took that last shot?
-
All things considered, happy to be down just 4. Definitely outplayed in every facet in the first half.
-
Would you have rather had someone else?
-
Looked like he wanted to pass but Frank told him the clock was winding down.
-
@ZIG It was!! Unbelievable. He literally should never be shooting outside of 4 feet from the hoop.
-
@VailHawk Well Mason didn’t exactly set that whole series up well at all.
-
Franks fault there
-
@ZIG Yep. Why did Jamari get the ball for the last shot!?
-
@VailHawk Yeah, anyone but him. Lol. The ball can’t end up in his hands w 2-3 secs left. That’s bad execution
-
@Bwag When Mason didn’t get past his defender, he didn’t have a plan.
-
Nothing short of a 180 after the half will win this game. Our shooting %has to be around 30 which won’t win this game no matter how many shots vandy misses
-
@RockkChalkk 4 feet? Early in the game he made a nice move inside for a layup and banked it so hard it didn’t even draw iron!
-
@BeddieKU23 50% from 3, 24% from 2!
-
Starting bigs are scoreless.
-
-
-
Wayne is putting us on his back. He needs to continue that next half. Devonte and Mason need to make it happen, move the ball. Perry needs to drive to score and create contact! He isnt gonna score over their footers.
Traylor and Lucas need to sit.
Mick and Bragg need to rebound and rim protect and stretch the floor.

Which is why we are all freakin’ calling for Self to pull his head out of his ass.
-
@wissoxfan83 Right, don’t get me wrong, I would prefer he didn’t take any shots but to say he should never shoot would have sounded a little unrealistic. He has some nice drives sometimes and can finish occasionally in that way so I thought 4ft was a reasonable line to draw, lol.
-
@tundrahok No. Lucas had a put back
-
@Lulufulu He put us on his back during the run, but not much since the 10 minute mark.
-
The threes are keeping us in it.
-
@Lulufulu Lucas didn’t start.
-
-
Only 3 fouls against them and I think they had 2 very early, so 1 foul over the balance of the half?
-
2 for 11 for our leaders yikes. That’s usually the recipe for losing
-
@SoftballDad2011 You need to charge your phone. Lol
-
@wissoxfan83
There length has changed our driving ability
-
Umm, yeah, but Mick, Bragg and Lucas have combined for 2 points. And Bragg and Mick have both looked outmatched.
-
What if we went the ISU type of lineup and started Svi instead of Traylor? Its not like our bigs rebound anyways. They can’t score either. Wonder how that would work out.
-
All our bigs, starters/subs total of 2 points from the field.
Break out the chorus of our struggles against the L&A’s.
-
Our rebounding is keeping us in the game, especially defensive RB’s
-
I get that we need LLs size. But to run plays for him or to ask ANYTHING of him except D and Reb is asinine
-
Stands to reason that Vandy will put pressure on our weakness this game which is post presence scoring and rebounding. They’ll pack it in and dare us to beat them from 3. Which is why we need Bragg and Mick down low for some length and rebounding.
-
@wissoxfan83
They are bailing out on shots to get back on d which has taken away running.
Turnovers have killed us which wasn’t a problem in the first 4 games
