Uk and zags would mop the floor with us in any neutral site game……both are hyper athletic
The issue completely is Bill getting away from 4 guards to go back to 2 bigs. Running your offense through a back to the basket big is so inefficient and proven in 2024 statistically.
4 guards = better ball handlers = less turnovers and better offense/shots
Bill acting like if he sat kj we’d sacrifice rebounding while he already doesn’t rebound and the lack of 4 guards inhibits us scoring is the season ender with this crap
The same issues last year that cause ANOTHER round of 32 BLOWOUT will take place yet again if we face an athletic team

Our best team per metrics is flory and kj and it isn’t until the 5th or 6th lineup that Hunter’s name is even in the 5 guys on the floor

This g teams are both really skilled and well coached. Athletic? Meh. If these guys were really good athletes they wouldn’t still be old and in college.

@kuballin10 NBA teams were salivating so hard over all these guys they told them to go back to school. Like I said, they’re really skilled and run good stuff but there aren’t many NBA athletes out there.

@kuballin10 we have 3 really good wins, 2 of which are away from AFH. Our one loss was without a key player in Rylan. Not sure how folks are making such dire predictions when we’re 1/4 through the regular season and roles are still evolving. I’m looking forward to an ass beating tomorrow in the Border War.

One more time , he is big slow white boy who can’t jump worth a dam, he wants to wander out acting like he is some three point specialist , who except from the beginning of last yr when he made quite a few- - ever since he hasn’t shot squat from there, if he isn’t knocking down three’s he is further pulling away from what he should be doing REBOUNDING OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS I would hate to see his offensive rebounding numbers, Plus a guy his size is no reason why he doesn’t establish position better and finish more. Proof of his explosion I have seen on multiple occasions now where he has had a dunk block by a rim - - -what the hell , he has no explosion.
Sure Hunter does well against the Washburn’s, the YMCA’s , the little lower schools, once again we see how he does against similar talent, Exhibit A - - FOUR POINTS and sic rebounds- - -Seriously ? This is another reason Hunter is not in the NBA Now , Hunte more likely then not won’t be in the NBA , again being to slow NBA Bigs will eat him alive. - -Can you image him trying to match up with the likes of Karl Anthony Towns ?- -or Dokic ? Lord have mercy.-- -to , to slow. He will have some nights but he is not anything special by any means , huge liability on defense. Can you imagine the difference between him and Flory give him a couple more years of development. Flory much , much more fluid /Athletic

Watching Iowa St - - Iowa , even though Iowa State right now down by eight- - - they still look good , just Iowa hitting everyhing it throws up. Iowa solid, well for now anyways - -5-6 from the three

OU remains undefeated with an improbable win over Michigan. OU was down 3, Jeremiah Fears hit a deep 3 with 11 seconds left and was fouled on the shot and hit the FT to win it after Michigan missed a couple of attempts to win it.

Our favorite punching bag pants on backwards really embarrassed himself. Called D-2 Michigan Tech “nobody-U” before playing them and then got whooped by 20. His team is now 2-10. MTech is in the wonderful twin cities of Houghton Hancock in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Copper country. Hockey school that plays it really well in D-1.

I’ve been enjoying this year of college basketball… even with all the weird changes in the game. It seemed like the transfer portal would destroy the competitiveness of the game but there are plenty of upsets. I know a lot of people are still miffed over Jayhawk basketball dropping a couple against unranked opponents. Then I look at our sister school, UNC… 6-5 and still hasn’t beat a ranked team.

Dayton has some impressive results so far, but tonight League foe Cincy has held them to 2 baskets in the first 14 minutes. 18-8 with 6 minutes left had me checking to see if I was actually looking at a football score.

Zuby is one that got away, needed more court time-- -now we see why, really posting some good numbers would of taken for sure. — -St John’s 10-2-- Zuby 2nd leading scorer for them-- averaging 14.6 per game-- right at 8 rebounds a game -2.3 blocks per game – and shooting 58 % from the field- - yes he has or averages 2.2 turnovers per contest- -but I could live with that with what he contributes.- -I think the good out weighs the bad for sure , glad he is doing well.

Seriously though they have some real issues, look just look disorganized , I know this much for sure Coleman Hawkins right now anyways looks like a walking disaster. – His decision making, more then ever his shot selection , some of his shots , you think Coach Self is had on AJ /Rylan – psssst if Hawkins was on the KU roster and was taking some of the shots he is taking for K/State ? - -his ass would be on the bench and he would never see daylight again. - -I mean just some horrific shots. Bottom line they have issues, sure don’t think they are getting their money from Hawkins.
OK I said I’d try to be nice- - I will say this it looks to me they do have a good player, name of Rich. Kid I guess hasn’t played a lot but came of the bench and played well , got extended playing time , scored twenty for K/State. Out played everyone else for K/State that’s for sure. Hit a couple of Three’s - -got rebounds- - couple of flushes ,some nice finish- -kid gonna be ok I think

Compared to Bruce Weber, I really like Jerome Tang. He has tried to bring down the hatred and hostility that KState fans exhibit toward KU. Rivalry is great and should be fun. Rational humans should be able to draw the line between team support and hatred for another school during sporting events. I like it when KState has a strong basketball team.
