Antonio Reeves, color me intrigued.
Been sitting on this one for a bit but yes. Strong possibility. Going after Jaylen Forbes as well. The push for a rotation or even starting caliber wing here is interesting.
Lots of McCullar at the 4 methinks
-
JCL was one of them dudes but I do generally agree here
-
Sorry guys, didn’t really know where to put this , just found it interesting : - Read that only ONE out of the top 17 Scorers from the Big Twelve last year will be back for this Season and that is LJ Cryer who is now at Houston , should be interesting to see who steps forward
-
I think now there’s a small chance we end up at 12 ¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
@FarmerJayhawk lol what!!! We gonna get 2 more guys that are okay with minimal roles???
KJ at the 4 must already be evident it won’t work.
That or some guys aren’t impressing as much.
-
Always good to have options when the chips are in
-
@kuballin10 - Remember he said “small chance”.
-
@kuballin10 it’ll take some convincing on both sides but I’m not ruling out another big and starter caliber wing
-
@FarmerJayhawk okay let’s play that game.
Say we get Reeves……how does that not mess things up with Timberlake or Morris.
Who would you say starts in that scenario?
-
@kuballin10 Juan Reeves Kev KJ Hunter. But if it were me I’d go small with Juan Morris Reeves McCullar Hunter

I think Bill would get to that small ball line-up starting eventually.
-
@BShark He’s promised kj minutes at the 4 and he loves kj as much as juan. He’s gonna stick with that until he’s forced to see other lineups clearly prove better
-
@kuballin10 think he gets McCormack’d
-
@FarmerJayhawk so MOP of the final 4 and a title you mean
-
@kuballin10 ha! Man if KJ does that I’ll eat crow forever. Big Dave 2020 is more my speed right now
-
Reeves doesn’t move the needle for me honestly. If Cal isn’t fighting for him…
-
@TYOHawk Cal can’t identify talent to save his life.
If Reeves wants to come so be it - battle it out for good minutes.
-
Let’s see what comes out of Morgantown.

Sign me up for Raequan Battle.

WABAAAANG ZACH CLEMENCE BAAAANG
-
Hes back?
-
-
@BShark nice!
-
Big practice body. Good get imo.
-
Rumor is to redshirt. Weird
-
Vernon says he’s redshirting. Seems odd to me.
-
Whaaa ? - - Zach is coming back ? - - Very interesting, I like it is this a pretty good chance ? - -didn’t h enroll at another School though / - Actually I think this is great, still think Zach ha promise.
I was just jumping on and was going to ask about the WV class - -was wondering about the possibility we still might go afte Jessee Edwars now - -read they have a 30 dat window to transfer & Jessee and one other of the players don’t need to request waiver - -just curious, – Yet IF Zach would come back - - -I’d be fine
-
I think he has to since he actually enrolled, buuuuut seems weird all around.
-
Now for Udeh…
-
Super weird lol
-

Confirmed. He enrolled at UCSB so this would be his second transfer and has to sit.
-
Did Parker Braun recruit Clemence to UCSB initially or something?
-
So the question is - - how serious is this talk ? - is it just some smoke about the possibility of it happening of he coming back to KU OR is thee fire with that Smoke and very very probable it’s happening ?
-
Man, this is an insane offseason! Welcome back Zach?
Does he have a good relationship with the KU staff still?
-
@rockchalkjayhawk better than Udeh, which admittedly isn’t saying much

In one case the player is delusional, in the other case it’s the mom.
-
Still think Zach can figure things out and give us some solid minutes after a focused redshirt year to develop.

I do too my friend. I think that he can help us down the line, IF this turns out
-
@approxinfinity he can’t get much worse! 🫣
-
I’m not sure, I don’t see how this helps us much. Don’t love the idea of tying up a scholarship for several more years for a practice body.
-
I think Zach is probably a high character guy with high BBIQ which makes a great bench and practice player.
I like that he has to redshirt and his only focus is getting better. He knows he’ll sit behind Dickinson again next season so no drama there. So as a redshirt senior he might finally get his shot. I’m okay with that. Three more off-seasons with Ramsey.

It’s kind of amusing the Bill thinks he wants a finesse big but when it comes down to it he just won’t play them.

Lol he loathes finesse bigs but keeps trying em out. He loves the TRob, Dokes and the athletic bangers.
-
I’ve said since he got here that Zach Clemence would be an ideal stretch 4 for Kansas. We’ve seen flashes of what he can do against Oklahoma and some other games. He just needs to focus on his defense and agility during his redshirt season so that he can guard better because that’s what held him back the most the past two seasons.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I really don’t think he can add enough athleticism to play the 4. We’ve had significantly more success with a wing-type of guy who can put the ball on the floor a bit and really play in transition at that spot. Zach is just a Missouri Valley Conference-level 5. Maybe not even that…
My hope is that in 3 years he’s turned himself into a Landen Lucas kind of player with the bonus that he can shoot the 3 a little bit. That would be the highest upside I think he has.
-
The problem with Zach to me is the hype.
He’s a skilled big who can shoot! We have absolutely zero evidence that he can actually shoot. Obviously I don’t attend practice, but in games he doesn’t have a great percentage. Even worse, his free throw percentages in his two years have been bad. Not a good sign he’s a good shooter.
So what is he? We’ve seen his toughness (blood everywhere!). Like that.
We’ve seen him battle. Like that.
He’s long. Potential for rebounding. Like that.
I’d settle for a hard nosed big with a good touch near the hoop.
-
Well guess no more what IF Zach DOES return - -he IS BACK and enrolled in Classes Coach Self has confirmed
-
Summer Bill might be here with a late addition.
