Flo Thamba the new floppa for Baylor. Keeping the torch alive for Vital
-
I think I want Baylor to win because we play them at least twice and they’re in the B12, but I wouldn’t be devastated if Michigan St won today
-
UNT is rolling Miami. Could Larrañaga’s days be numbered? His last winning season and tournament appearance was 2017-18.

North Texas is fuego from 3. Thank God we dodged that bullet
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich I love the way Bill has this team defending threes. They don’t always execute it and it’s my main worry about Zach (we can’t execute it at all with him in there and gave up open looks when he played) but the plan is very good.
-
I mean listening to Self’s comments this season, he seems to be preaching defense. I still thought we gave up some pretty wide-open looks from 3 to North Texas.
-
The goal is to switch everything with most line-ups. Bobby is also lost on D still. Our best line-up currently is Remy, CB, Och, Jalen, Dave or Mitch. When Dave is right mentally it’s him. There is probably a small gain defensively with Dajuan over Remy in that line-up but it loses a lot on offense. Opposing coaches are going to ask their players to just completely ignore Dajuan. He gets into a good position and most players in college basketball would score and then he doesn’t even take the shot.
-
The defense is not nearly where it will need to be to beat good teams. Rebounding especially is another big issue. Good problems to have because both tend to get locked in as we go

Agree. I am more worried when we can’t score and the offensive efficiency of this team is pretty damn good when they don’t turn it over (or give Dave the ball currently).
Rebounding is…well Remy led the team in rebounds yesterday. CB and Jalen I think will be our main rebounders. Dave is just terrible at it.
-
Baylor pulling away. Kind of looks like our game against MSU.
Larranaga heard you @BShark
-
Yeah Sparty thought the game was 20 minutes
-
During the Baylor-MSU game, the 2022 Atlantis field was announced and KU will be headed out there with Butler, BYU, Dayton, NC State, Tennessee, USC, and Wisconsin. That’s a damn good field.
-
Christie came to College with a big time rep for shooting and he couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn in every game I’ve seen of him
-
Definitely a good field
-
The game ahead of ours, Miami-UNT is tied at 59 with about 3 minutes left.
-
And Charlie Moore apparently is still around at Miami and scored their final two points and had 16 total today.
-
Baylor looked really good today, especially in the 2nd half.

Dave is terrible at everthing right now

The Big 12 is going to be a great battle this year between Kansas, Baylor, and Texas.

Agree - - gonna be a real dog fight between those 3
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich really think UCONN would have been able to matchup better. Had the athletes to compete.
-
Good grief more fts
-
KU women only down 3 at halftime to Tennessee.
-
Pretty easy to figure out why KU women lost tonight bad formula : - -you shoot 30.8 fg % – turn the ball over 15 times - - get out rebounded by 17 and Tennessee gets 13 more shot attempts. - -Any time a team can get up right at 80 shots in a game good chance of winning Tennessee shot 78 times, not gonna win very many playing like that lost 68-58
-
@jayballer67 It’s actually pretty impressive the women only lost by 10 to a team like Tennessee considering how bad they’ve been in recent years.
-
Duke hot.
Bill would pull Banchero right about now because of defense or something.
-
Holmgren is special but I think Banchero should get drafted over him. I don’t trust the health of a 7’0 195 dude. Who knows how putting weight on will go for that frame?
-
All I know is both of these teams would whoop our ass if we played today.
-

He can put plenty of weight on his frame. He should be able to get to 240-250 easily without much drop-off in athletic ability.
-
Gonzaga not invincible.
Duke proof you don’t have to have to play through a post player just because they’re 6’10
-
Say what you want about K.
He put Timme in ball screens. He let the hot hand shoot. He outcoached Few.
Frustrating to watch coaches play to strengths rather than to a system.

Except Duke mostly did because their guards weren’t good most of the game and only went away from Banchero because of his cramps and he was off the floor. When Banchero was out there, Duke absolutely played through Banchero.
-
Looked like two Final Four teams out there. I feel like the Zags were the big winners tonight because they will feed off of this lesson even though Duke will carry momentum forward. Fun game to watch.

Thats rule as I believe Tennessee is ranked 11th , t5hey have played pretty well it’s always interesting how they will stand up when they go aginst quality opponents. Last Night was their 1st - -although they stayed right there most of the game
-
Wow, how did ESPN make that happen?
-
Surprised no one mentioned Iowa State over #9 Memphis!

Oh lordie , I watched most the 1st half. Just means one more team we gonna have to battle this yr - - He got ISU turned around quick - -Still un beaten
-
-
Don’t ever change brucie
-
LMAO - -that’s just funny right there - - I don’t care who you are as Larry the Cable Guy would say - - gotta love ya some Brucie
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Well, I give him credit for at least making it about a cat. Not a Wildcat, to be sure, but a video with the actual KSU mascot might scare the little kids.
-
Zags are struggling (for now) 12-16 at the under 8 timeout.
-
Our friends at Tarleton State are making a stand in Spokane. Only trail Gonzaga by 1 at the half. Texans already have 7 steals.
-
@nwhawkfan sounds like Billy G has his boys balling out!
-
Bulldogs pull away late, 64-55.
First scare they’re had at The Kennel in quite a while. It’s their lowest point total there in over five years.
-
@nwhawkfan like us, they have major chinks in their armor. They are not a Final Four team imo.
-
Banchero gets a huge break from the refs. Flagrant 1 not called. Have I ever mentioned I think Duke gets an inordinate number of fouls?
-
Good job, Ohio St.
-
Number One loses again.
Looks like this is gonna be one of those years when no team stays in the top spot for long.
-
And down goes Duke! Roller coaster week for OSU. Nice comeback win for the buckerooos.
