  I think the defense proved today that they are without question better than last year, they gave up a good chunk of yards but only let up 26 points. 17 of which were short fields for Baylor’s offense. As I said on the game thread if you only let 26 on the road in this conference, you should have a chance to win unless your offense sucks.

I seem to have lost radio contact with you regarding the last transmission regarding chain of command from Girod to Long to Beaty and a possible firing of Beaty. Control tower will retransmit… Does Girod have the authority to fire Long, who has the authority to fire Beaty? Or does Long not even have the authority to fire Beaty? What is the actual chain of command? Over.

  @Texas-Hawk-10 No doubt crazier things have happened. I am just saying KU’s schedule and personnel do not lend themselves to crazy things happening. 2-10 seems possible and maybe they can steal one or two games and make it 3-9 or even 4-8 but anything over 3 games would be a big surprise and 4 wins almost a shock…a good one though.

  Agree with most of it. The next guy needs to be given a long time. But I do think we can find a decent candidate with experience. We do need to switch to a run-first style because we will always get the 3rd tier athletes. Shortening the game is the best approach when there is a talent deficit. QB needs to just be the most athletic guy we can find. No more grad transfers. We can find an athlete that has been looked over and wants to play QB. If you find a Todd Reesing along the way, fantastic. But your plan A needs to be a guy who can run the ball. Plan B is bringing in all the short guys you can find that can throw the hell out of a football. I can’t wait for the Beaty experiment to end. He has the recruiting ability, just not the coaching ability. It takes a certain type of person to run an organization of 150 people with a schedule that includes long hours and a ton of travel. It takes a special person to do it successfully at a place KU though.

  So I’m in a motel last weekend. A guy passing me in the hallway sees my KU hat. Then askes me, “are you a Jayhawks fan”. I turned to him said, “yea, but I waiting for basketball season” . He damn near lost it. I thought he was going to fall over right there in the hallway he was laughing so hard. Yea I would say its time for some big changes when it comes to KU football. It’s pretty sad when some random person, and true College Football fan know of your school, because they suck so bad?
