I wouldn’t say nothing special
he is not all that. The quality of competition he faced hee at Highland Park wasn’t top tier. - - Topeka Schools very average in Basketball. - -Highland Park had an exceptional year but to say he is a top tier recruit someone who is going to step right in and contributet - eh-- no. For sure no better then Chris Johnson

Lol ya, he can do that. - -he isn’t bad , just not a Yahza guy. Got to understand the quality of competition he played against in his League in Kansas isn’t anywhere like other competition , now with the move the competition will be better, good 5-7 minute guy giving rest breaks possibly, unless he has gotten better

OK so here is the 1,000 question. Since one of how ever many of the players that left this yr Chris Johnson being one of them - - seeing as he was no good and then he asked for his LOI release,- -so why in the hell have we not released him yet from said LOI - -it’s been over 2 weeks since the request.
He has got all these other schools touching base with him yet we haven’t released him. - -We recruited over him , didn’t want him , --So - RELEASE THE KID for God’s sakes- - we now have media asking why ? - -just release him period.

Wish Chris luck and hope he is willing to take constructive criticism, so he can grow as a player. He may be a lot better than he played last year due to off-court issues. I am not saying that I know this to be true, though. Personally, I don’t believe the on-court ceiling of AM outweighs the off-court questionable behavior, but I will trust HCBS knows more than I do about the situation. It will be interesting to see who made the better decision.

Johnson really stunk it up at Montverde this year. Morris at least can be an athletic defender.

I think Morris is capable of being a very important part of the team this year but his status is certainly far from certain with his legal issues. Johnson wasn’t going to play meaningful minutes so it’s sort of a wash if neither plays here. Although I’d have a lot of hard questions for why we hitched a ride on that Morris drama

@TYOHawk Just like Quentin Grimes did not do well at KU, but thrived at Houston and is playing in the NBA now. What I am saying is that 1 bad year should not decide if he is good or not. He was good enough to be recruited to KU initially, so the question should be why did he not play well this past year. Was it the fit? His confidence? Life situations that can mess with focus and ability? His ego not recognizing that he had areas to improve? I don’t know the answers, but I have not heard about any off court behavior that would put a bad light on the program. Where do we draw the line between tolerating talent on the court and behaviors that are harmful to others? In the scheme of things, which is more important?

Bill Self knows more about the situation than either of us. I’m not here to judge any young men on the team’s character.

I’m legitimately laughing about this. It’s incredibly funny. All of the things about it are funny.
- Bill cannot help but fill scholarships
- Furphy on tape looks so much better than MAJ
- Furph was a hot commodity literally everyone wanted and Bill big-boy’d everyone.
- Our 2024 starting lineup now looks incredibly good again. I’m just saying that we could be on the watch list for a potential B2B championship out of Billy boy.
