What did we do philosophy wise defensively to change that? Especially knowing they are 3 point shooting team.

Because some teams still helped/doubled on Doke.
It’s taken 32 years for college coaches to FULLY grasp what the 3 pointer and having all 5 guys be able to shoot it does.

Vick can leave. Good player but not great. Makes too many turnovers same for Devontae this year.
Nova handles it so well even being an older team we were junior high sloppy with the ball all year

bottom line our perimeter d did what it does—not defend.
we didn’t rebound.
the only chance Kansas had to win was try to match their scoring and Self held them back and instructed them to play in the paint.
regardless, we couldn’t have kept pace with 18/38 threes anyway.

Charlie Moore is no joke. Dotson will be solid. Marcus Garrett should improve his shot…lets hope Grimes looks solid.

@BigBad some is irrelevant the good teams are what matter and Bill should know how they will play us. No way u ever double doke force a guy who doesn’t score 20 a game to feel the mental stress when he has a quick 8-10 down low to continually scoring which mentally makes u feel selfish and letting ur team down when u miss

And idk, young at guard is different than weak. Might take some time but I really like Grimes and Dotson long term. Moore I am not high on at all.
Romeo Langford would be a game changer.

Agree on all accounts. Have to have Romeo cause duke is gonna be ridiculous next year…mini Kobe with a dog attitude and Zion is a mini lebron. They are gonna be incredible and will defend

You might be right. Barrett can score and jones can shoot but he ain’t half as good as his brother. Zion if he can shoot is unstoppable though

He was a freshman asked to carry a big role on a really bad cal team. His size is what concerns me the most as he’s looked like a middle school player since he got here. He can play and with a possible 4 years here it will be impossible to expect he won’t step up at some point

@kjayhawks make zero mistake about it. Bill has his faults and has had his failings. It’s just simply that this season as a whole was not one of those. But… It’s also anyones choice to think whatever the hell they want about him honestly. And to say it
