KU vs the Purps
-
Clay Young time…
-
@BeddieKU23 truth. Maybe me favorite all time in all honesty. In the discussion minimum
-
A walk-on scoring was nice, but the building would have exploded if Tyler hit that three.
-
First blow out in a long time. Need to can that second half performance. Very solid
-
Coach hugging his son. Priceless.

Absolutely agree. Can’t wait for the speech. I always get too emotional for them

Duke lost. Tonight was great all around.

What a shot. That kid is money
-
Awesome!
-
Syracuse with the buzzer beater to take out Duke.
-
in other news, duke loses to cuse on a 30 foot bank shot…hahahaha…
-
22 from the bench
-
KU against the world.
I like our chances.
-
Syracuse beats Duke, fans storm he court…embarrassing…
-
A comfortable win…been a long time coming…feels great!
-
In no particular order Mason, Mario, Paul, Nick and Danny. Those are my five favourite Hawks. Who the rest of ya got?
I love Josh as much as I can for an OAD. If he were here at a different time, he’d have top 5 fave Hawk potential.

Hallelujah.
-
We played better defense, but they missed some shots in the 2nd half…seems like a long time that the opposition hasn’t hit seemingly every open shot at AFH
-
@JayHawkFanToo Their fanbase didn’t think they’d win.
-
Embiid is the other OAD that I love. Shame he got hurt.
My favourite glue n grit 5 year Hawks: Brady, Releford, Lucas.
-
Is everyone watching the post-game show? I’m anxious to see the Rush ceremony.
-
Mason, Mario, Sherron, Robinson, Hinrich. I know a lot of recent guys but Josh would be 6th with a chance to keep moving up. The way Josh played tonight reminds me of Lebron. Does it all
-
A really big difference for Brodziansky: only 8 pts and 2 rebs. But 4 blks.
-
played scouting report well plus early foul trouble put him behind the times. I thought our guys did a great job not letting him go right every time

You didn’t watch at halftime?
I’m watching the other Purps vs the Pokes right now.

My boy @KirkIsMyHinrich approves of your list. For those early 00 teams Nick really stuck with me and is just such a great guy in general.
Sherron and TRob were close for me. TRob was a warrior and went through so much. He would probably be my #6.
-
@brooksmd Thank you. I didn’t mention he spent a few years getting the disability claim approved but it eventually was. The problem was his failure to document it on his way out. They went back through his tecords to determine how many concussive blasts his ears had gone through. Glad you finally got it done.

I could dunk the ball in HS at 5’ 10"
I still can. But I have trouble when the basket is any higher than that.
-
@mayjay I actually got my first dunk years after I played in high school lol. Helps when you grow a couple inches.
-
@stoptheflop yes did a great job on him.
-
-
Nick, Withey up there as well. Marcus, Travis…
Thomas is just an emotional pick, what he went through, what the team went through, how much everyone truly cared about him just can never be forgotten
-
Magnifique.
-
@stoptheflop video for the 13 was so cool! Lot of talented players sharing that
-
100% man. TRob almost got that ring too, just ran into THE BEAST that happened to be the apex of Squid teams that year.
-
I guess UK will back out of the Champions Classic now. As Coach and KU are rising. Classic UK when somebody starts getting the best of them they run and hide.
-
Josh Jackson messing with us in the post-game interview saying he might “possibly” come back next year for a run at championship number 14.

-
@stoptheflop that would be sweet but it won’t happen. If any OAD has the right personality and mindset to decide to come back, it is josh.
-
That song is awful lol
-
@BeddieKU23 I just laughed like a hyena over that one…lol…
-
@BShark I stopped it after 16 seconds…omg…lol.
-
Friggin auto-tune man. It was the first result for toy with my heart.
-
-
@BeddieKU23 Man, that’s priceless! Awesome!
-
this will sound weird, but one of the reasons we reached #13 is because of TCU – or more specifically, Jamie Dixon who has raised the level of play of the worst team in the league significantly in one year while the others have remained more or less where they were… The improvement at from the “bottom” has put additional pressure on all the teams – It’s simply more competitive from top to bottom.
For a team like KU, we take every team’s best shot every game. We’re used to playing 16 games with teams close to their ceiling. But the other teams aren’t used to such consistent competition night-in and night-out. So WVU, Baylor and ISU have faltered to ‘lesser’ teams because they weren’t used to such resistance.
While those teams haven’t broken the streak, they’ll all be better for it during the tournament.

Sounds like great family time. BUT - as a 5 year old, she probably won’t fully appreciate the whole atmosphere thing. However, I am a huge fan of atmosphere. I would make the ultimate sacrifice and go to the game with you. I’m sure my wife would love to babysit…
Between time spent on this message board and the board at the “other site” years ago, I’ve been a poster long enough to know that you seem like a genuinely good dude and someone that would probably be a blast to hang out with or go to a game with. That said, I do have family obligations that make it difficult to pass tickets down to non-family members. However, because I admire your desperate willingness to make major sacrifices on behalf of our beloved Jayhawks I’ve got a couple options that will improve your ticket priority should the opportunity arise in the future:
-
Donate to the tis4tim fund. It’s a sure-fire way to move you to the top of the priority list.
-
A substantial donation notwithstanding, I decided I’m still going to move you up the list and pencil you in between my third uncle twice removed and my daughter’s goldfish, Mr. Bubbles, Jr.
Sound good?
-
-
@tis4tim and @nuleafjhawk I’m pretty sure you guys are related so you should definitely go to a game together… and take me!
-
@tis4tim Soooooooo - did your daughter enjoy the game? I sincerely hope that she did and that this will spark a lifetime of RCJH Crimson and Blue adventures for her.
That being said - I still think you should have taken me…

She did indeed, though climbing on railings, walking up steps and standing on the bleachers was probably just as much fun for her as the game. But she really got into it in the second half and hearing her yell “Come on, Mason!” was fun to see.
I’ve lived a lot of places over the years, but any local sports was always secondary to my hometown teams (Royals, Chiefs, Jayhawks) and I have no doubt that wherever my kids go when they leave home they’ll always have a soft spot for KU. Eighteen years of indoctrination makes that conclusion inevitable!
