It’s difficult for still-billies to post soberly, while they are hooked up to Jim Beam IV drips.

It’s basically Tigerboard except they have a good team. Just brutal.
-
@jayballer54 I was looking at Kentuckys non conference schedule so far. They havent played near as tough a schedule as KU has. Not even close! Sure they are blowing teams out by 50 points. They are all ranked out of the top 100 schools. Except Michigan St and UCLA. Everyone else, CUPCAKE!!
I think UCLA should kick their butts. I think we could be them in their own house too. Kentucky has not faced a team as good as KU and likely will not even when they get to their conference schedule. Patty cake, the SEC is weak as F%$#

@jayballer54 Dude, keep doing your physical therapy exercises. dont quit that stuff.

I feel like I missed something here.

@BShark no not really, they are talking about the re-hab on my knee, that I had surgery on awhile back – -having some issues they just showing some conern and thoughts for me - - not re-habbing they are done with that BUT my knee woke me up out of a dead sleep last night - -felt like someone was driving a knife into my knee cap and then throbbing really bad down the outside part just below my knee cap - - like has been said I’m just going to have to call and get it check - -AGAIN if it keeps it up – - thanks for the thoughts my friends - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@BShark 2 knee surgeries
-
The UCLA match-up should be a good game, fast pace but its in Rupp. I think Cal is 124-4 at Rupp. Unlikely they lose at home where the whistle will be in their favor. UCLA will have to match guard play and if they are smart will zone Kentucky to force outside shots. Ball vs Fox- exciting to see 2 future NBA PG’s go at it. It should be a fairly close game if UCLA comes to play on the road
-
Let the chip building begin. We need our guys psyched when they go into Rupp… because it is a tough place to win.
And the strange factor is having this game smack down in the middle of Big 12 season. I don’t get that. How do we put everything into a game that is just window dressing and something for pollsters while we are entrenched in winning #13?
Anything is possible in that game in Lexington. It may just boil down to who has the hot hand.
I’d like to see our defense turn on the pressure and get lots of steals. That would truly be an avenue for “stealing one” in Rupp.
-
@BShark Jayball’s had a surgery on his knee, I believe. My nurse brain just kicks in when people talk about medical stuff here and I feel it is my duty as an RN to give people feed back on things related.
-
@jayballer54 Oh man, if your having pains like that bad, absolutely call your DR!! If your PT exercises are causing you pain, dont do them until your Doc says you can. But seriously, go get checked again my man. Increased pain post surgery is not really a good thing. Best wishes and good luck dude.

@BeddieKU23 UCLA imo is by far the best opponent Kentucky has faced all season. Michigan St is a shadow of their former selves from last year. All the other teams have been major cupcakes. UCLA may not win in RUPP, I agree about the tough environment there, BUT if UCLA can keep the game close, I like their chances at a win.
On the same note, I like KU’s chances at winning at RUPP too. Kentucky wont face a team as good as KU until late into March. The SEC is so weak and their non conference schedule has been pathetic.
-
I agree this is definitely the toughest game for Kentucky so far this season. UCLA will need to rebound the ball. limit transition and get some production other than Leaf from the post. The freshman post they just got back could be a key guy as he can offer some rim protection. If UCLA plays M2M defense, honestly they are up against it, Kentucky has 1 perimeter threat and I feel this is the first team with talent that could exploit their weak 3 point shooting. I don’t think UK has earned the #1 spot but if they beat UCLA that will validate them
Kentucky also plays UNC & Louisville before KU comes in January. Both of those games should be stellar, wouldn’t mind seeing them lose both
-
@BeddieKU23 You do have to respect Cal’s willingness to play a heck of a lot of tough nonconference games. He gives his fans an exciting product (despite whatever else we can say about him).
-
Definitely he’s consistently playing UNC, Louisville & the Champions Classic. As long as the SEC/Big-12 goes on it seems like KU/UK will play every year.
-
Yeah the conferences would be super dumb to not have the KU/UK match-up be annual.
-
I wonder what they will do next year when KU has to play UK in the Champions Classic. Can we really play them twice? Florida or A&M would be the next choices I would assume but neither of them would bring the Challenge star power like KU/UK does…
-
@BeddieKU23 Hmmmm, you bring up a good question? - - I don’t think they would have us match up twice in the regular season - - - do you? - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer54 Why wouldn’t they? Imagine the TV ratings of game 2 if game 1 was an OT classic or something like that. I could see it happening. I hope it does actually.
But you guys are probably right, they won’t do that. It could make for some damn good basketball though.
-
You made a compelling argument for why they should do it.
-
Good point I didn’t think about this. Probably Florida.
-
Kentucky is in a lot of our heads. Same with Duke. Me personally, I wouldn’t spend a second reading the Kentucky versions of our KUBuckets.
In 1986 KU played fellow final four team Louisville two times in the regular season.
-
I would not be at all surprised if KU and South Carolina would play in the Kentucky “Double?” year. Frank Martin has really taken this program to a new level, is very anxious to up his SOS after last year’s tourney snub, and it would be a great renewal of the old coaching rivalry…
-
@mayjay I love Frank Martin! He gave to trobs sisters fund.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Frank Martin seems like a great guy off of the court. He is tough and verbal with his players, but he seems like the type of guy you can tell isn’t yelling at the person, he is yelling at the player. If that makes sense?
Like it is nothing personal with him. He loves his players. But when they are on the court it is 110% - 110% of the time.
I can’t believe KState let him go. Huge mistake. South Carolina got a great coach. And he is only 50. So he could be around for quite some time. Which is good. Glad to see someone besides Kentucky running an actual program.
-
@Kcmatt7 my boys would play for him or knight!
-
I have a lot of respect for Frank Martin. Even when his on court demeanor would indicate otherwise, he is one classy individual.
-
@wissox not a even a nano-second…
-
No doubt about it Bruce was a major downgrade.
-
But there is a case to be made that the head hair from Martin to Weber was a sideways move for KSU.
-
@DoubleDD UK is the “groomed and accepted villain” in the heirarchy of the east coast media marketing machine. Colorful coach. Colorful history. Top recruits. Always contending. Put Louisville in that same group–colorful coach. Usually contending.
What am I saying? You cant just have Duke play UNC over and over again. Need interesting ‘enemies’ for the ACC. KU and UCLA would be other interesting ‘competitors’ sitting just outside the inner circle fence…, as is Tom Izzo and MichSt…
-
@hawkmoon2020 At KY, Calipari doesnt have to recruit dirty, like he did with Rose at Memphis. The Enos Kanter thing was quickly exposed, and he was deemed ineligible. Calipari truly does have his pick from the top 15. Now, his concept and playstyle are proven. His path to the NBA is proven. A true OAD/2AD factory. No worries though.
-
Tucky is going to curb stomp the UCLANS, imo. I want the media to anoint Tucky as all that and a bag of chips, so when our guards lay waste to their freshmen guards in Rupp, they’ll have a litter of kittens.

I do think UK rolls against UCLA today but they probably beat us as well. If it was in the Phog or even neutral site, I’d think differently.
-
UCLA good start
-
Kentucky’s one weakness already showing.
-
Briscoe is shit.
-
@BeddieKU23 Lots, can’t shoot or rebound lol,
-
3-1 foul disparity already
Now 4-1
-
UCLA’s defense is swiss cheese
-
wow they call a foul when he walked 5 steps lol
-
No way UCLA wins already several missed touch fouls on UK and several ghost fouls on UCLA.

Complete garbage. They just don’t have the athletes 1 through 5 to be much better either. Too many weak links. Ball and Leaf are NBA players though.
-
turnovers the difference as well. I think every UK basket has been off turnover

Yup, best to get ball going to the hoop or riding Alford’s hot hand. Ref’s definitely not gonna call this one fair
