Almost at 80 with 9 minutes left.
-
Oh my ref. Coit had that
-
Good D David
-
Flory with 11 boards off the bench. Kid did exactly what he said he was going to do today which was bring energy
-
I do wish Bryce Thompson well. Very tough college career after all the high school accolades and promise.
-
Wonder what the freshman record is for rebounds
-
Flory #13
-
Storr is just not a good basketball player - can score, inefficiently, but does nothing else even halfway well…
-
This lineup is kinda juicy rn ngl

He just looks like the same guy as a freshman really hasn’t improved much
-
Does thompson have his feet touching when he shoots fts?
-
Storr is best in very small doses
-
Mayo with a great block.
-
Flory is so fun to watch
-
14 boards now! Feed him
-
This is why flory needs minutes
-
15 boards
-
Aj doesn’t miss that layup last year.
-
Come on refs that’s a freaking block
-
Flory is too good to believe apparently
-
Really bad few minutes for Passmore…

Next year, monster
-
guess if w want to nit pic about the game today , the only thing would be the turnovers- other then that
-
@BeddieKU23 needs wt room
-
Ok , the cowboy chest painters have it crossed out. I’m slow
-
Junior high ball right now…
-
Walk ons have fun love to see it
-
Nice of Storr to pass that to evers
-
I’m sure that will be emphasis #1 in offseason
-
Play like that every game and we’ll be fine
-
Can we build off of this and show up in boulder with energy
-
Co. Beat baylor
-
Welp. Is everyone back on board? Does Billy still have a job?
-
@nuleafjhawk its a good start. Need an exorcism, maybe a eulogy for “bad bill”, bring in Bruce Weber to get the party started, wave the burning sweet grass.
-
thirty six points off the bench
-
Flory 16 boards and three blocks. With Cowboys hanging all over him.
-
Did Florys block/goaltending call get looked at?
-
That was Kansas basketball today.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I don’t know. I went to Whataburger.
-
I think we shot the ball with much more confidence today. Not a single player looked terrified to shoot it.
-
Unfortunately I think two things:
- Allen fieldhouse is very good
- ok state is very bad
We ended up playing with energy but the start was still slow. A good team could have buried us right from the tip that game. They missed some open looks early that could have made that a very different game.
It’s a good start but I’m not calling this team “BACK” yet.
-
@benshawks08 for sure no reason to jump to the conclusion that this team has found their calling finally. The next two games will tell us a lot about what had happened
-
Today was encouraging. Whether it was a one off or something more remains TBD. We didn’t look like this against Colorado 11 days ago though and Colorado is a much worse team than OSU.
I mentioned it in during the game, but this team will go as far as Hunter carries them. When he’s active and engaged like today, everyone else feeds off that energy. When he plays half-assed, pretty much everyone else plays half-assed as well.
Can Hunter have a Remy-like run to end his KU career and change his KU legacy? It was about this time 3 years ago that we were wondering if Remy was even going to play for KU again, but that’s rarely brought up because of his run to end the season. That doesn’t necessarily mean Hunter has to win a title, but making a run in the B12 Tournament, making it past the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament would do a lot to change Hunter’s long term legacy here.
-
Definitely relieved we didn’t lose out all the last games. Squeak out another conference win or two, make the Dance, win one or two there, and chalk it up to a down year then look forward to some fresh blood next year.
-
I was amazed to see Hunter do more than wave at a dude on defense, went after the guy, blocked it and then ripped the rebound. Hunters usually a vertical or nothing post defender.
-
@approxinfinity Hunter played his best game as a Jayhawk IMO on both ends 16 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes
-
Fun with the box score! And it is truly fun this time. yay. fast paced action. exactly how we need to play.
52
First half points.
52 – 46 – 75
FG% – 3pt% – FT%
I’ll take that most games!
36
Bench points!!! wow.
48 – 28
KU – OSU rebounds
-5
Flory’s +/- That’s interesting. Hmmm.
<30
Not a single player over the 30 minute mark.
18
Lots of turnovers though. Maybe from a faster pace?
-
Is Shak hurt or what?
-
Yes

Mentioned a few games back, he’s dealing with a foot injury. That’s why he had been playing reduced minutes recently, nothing to do with being in Self’s doghouse.
We saw what a fully healthy Shak could do on defense and how much that energized the team.
