@kjayhawks It’s a combination of factors. We clearly aren’t playing well enough to lead the game…turnovers… etc.
But apparently it’s too much to ask for the officials to be somewhat competent. The officiating encourages one team to be as aggressive as they want --pushing, shoving, hammering arms… and penalizes the other team for less. It totally affects the game.

@bskeet I agree the officiating hasn’t been great but I see one team running and hustling. The other team is standing like they are volunteer help this afternoon.

And, if you get penalized when you try to match the aggression and the other team doesn’t, that can also contribute to the malaise.

@rcjhdraft it old news that KJ stinks against size. He always has and always will. Same could be said for Juan. They are Bigger, Faster and stronger at almost every position out there. It’s really detrimental for this group.

Yeah. Officials could call a guy body bumping as the ball is being thrown to him… But they let that go and instead call the out of bounds caused by the bump.

This would normally be a game you just throw the tape away. But you just did that with the Creighton game.

@rockchalkjayhawk 100 percent correct Bill built this team and bought it. I know people will come at me on here but Bill Self has made plenty of mistakes. I still stand behind my comment of if Ochai doesn’t get the steal and the dunk in the 2022 round of 32 game vs Creighton. He ain’t our coach right now and everyone hates him.

I thought Hunter typically played better against guys like him — big and slow.

Other than the 16 free throws they’ve made to our 4, stats are starting to even up.

That and we seem to play well when playing ahead of the other team.
