An Oregon insider just put in a Crystal Ball pick for Sarr to KU- - -FWIW
-
Yeah I don’t know man…
-
His likely to visit Gonzaga
-
@BShark or @FarmerJayhawk y’all got anything about what KU’s plans are now that Williams, Sarr, and Fland are off the table?
-
KJ’s recovery is ahead of schedule and Bill is hoping that’s his last starter

I think they are setting up a visit to see @wissox.

Hope no one believes this…
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Might be possible to get an answer today, I’ll try. Lot of upset people yesterday. Bill definitely thought he could close Williams.
-
Hopefully by September we got euros ready to ball or something

Dajuan is going the Ziegler route and will try to sue the NCAA soon as well

Please no. I pray this is just a bad joke.
-
People are being stupid!
-
Doin’ awhat comes natcherly…
-
@TYOHawk He’d be the starting pg and move DP to the 2. If you thought AFH looked empty at times this year more so than 2 decades it would be brutal if D2 magically came back
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Haggerty if he comes back to school or, more likely, we go the international route.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Haggerty isn’t coming here trust me on this one. I get the whole “things change” but there seems to be a zero chance on this one
-
Crickets. Now we wait.

Tang might pay 4 mil?

June 15 is the withdrawal date for the NBA. Next 3 weeks will be it for domestic based players. There’s really only 3 needle movers that if they withdrew would go to new schools, Jamir Watkins, RJ Luis, and PJ Haggerty.
Jamir Watkins and RJ Luis are positional needs for KU as they’re both wings. Watkins had a great combine and really boosted his draft stick to where he seems more likely to stay in at this point. Luis didn’t have a good combine and isn’t expected to stay in the draft. Luis being the #2 option here would take some pressure off of him. His NIL budget is also expected to be within KU’s remaining budget.
The other option would be Haggerty who, like Luis, had a bad combine showing and is likely headed back to college. If Haggerty came here, then either he or Peterson would have to move off ball. Haggerty’s name has been strongly linked to NC State, but I don’t know how Darrion Williams affects that because Haggerty is likely to have the biggest NIL demands of the 3 players.
If KU doesn’t land any of those three, really two, then it’s the international market where KU is looking at some players.

@FarmerJayhawk Does Darrion Williams going to NC State affect their ability to land Haggerty? I know it doesn’t affect anything in regards to positions, but NC State cut Williams a bigger check than we did, so do they still have the funds for Haggerty or did Wade basically choose Williams over Haggerty and Haggerty has to look elsewhere?
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 so what about Luis? Heard we’re not interested, and how much is he wanting?

I’ve seen his number about $1.5 million which is within KU’s budget if we were offering Williams $2.5 million. The lack of interest on KU’s part was likely tied to our pursuit of Williams since they play the same position so I don’t know of that’s changed now that Williams has gone to NC State. The name I’ve seen the most with Luis is UConn so we’ll see what happens.
-
Haggerty is now off the table and is headed KSU.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 N C State isn’t nearly as strong for Haggerty as once was. , not dure if they want to invest the money and waiting for a player already on their roste to see what happens with him.
Beleive it or not K/State is a serious contender for him now.- -As a matter of fact some saying they are now the leader at over Four. One Million NIL- - -No way ib hell would I give up that kind of money, sure he is legit averaged over 21 points per game but just wouldn’t
Now Auburn has entered the picture and it is looking like a two team battle . K/State & Auburn, Actually talk that K/State has already finished the NIL deal just hasn’t been announced yet. - We shall se, if that’s true makes K/State legit team
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Sorry just seen this post after I responded to your other post.-- Makes K/State legit-- I bet they are strutting their stuff and talking lots of smack about how we are missing on our prospects and they get this
-
@Crimsonorblue22 we better be interested
-
@SlimShaddy54 I mean KU did sign the top HS prospect and what would be a top 10 recruiting class if Tillery didn’t reclassify and come early. So it’s not all doom and gloom, but it’s definitely not all roses either.
