June 15 is the withdrawal date for the NBA. Next 3 weeks will be it for domestic based players. Thereâs really only 3 needle movers that if they withdrew would go to new schools, Jamir Watkins, RJ Luis, and PJ Haggerty.
Jamir Watkins and RJ Luis are positional needs for KU as theyâre both wings. Watkins had a great combine and really boosted his draft stick to where he seems more likely to stay in at this point. Luis didnât have a good combine and isnât expected to stay in the draft. Luis being the #2 option here would take some pressure off of him. His NIL budget is also expected to be within KUâs remaining budget.
The other option would be Haggerty who, like Luis, had a bad combine showing and is likely headed back to college. If Haggerty came here, then either he or Peterson would have to move off ball. Haggertyâs name has been strongly linked to NC State, but I donât know how Darrion Williams affects that because Haggerty is likely to have the biggest NIL demands of the 3 players.
If KU doesnât land any of those three, really two, then itâs the international market where KU is looking at some players.

@FarmerJayhawk Does Darrion Williams going to NC State affect their ability to land Haggerty? I know it doesnât affect anything in regards to positions, but NC State cut Williams a bigger check than we did, so do they still have the funds for Haggerty or did Wade basically choose Williams over Haggerty and Haggerty has to look elsewhere?

Iâve seen his number about $1.5 million which is within KUâs budget if we were offering Williams $2.5 million. The lack of interest on KUâs part was likely tied to our pursuit of Williams since they play the same position so I donât know of thatâs changed now that Williams has gone to NC State. The name Iâve seen the most with Luis is UConn so weâll see what happens.

Haggerty is now off the table and is headed KSU.

Beleive it or not K/State is a serious contender for him now.- -As a matter of fact some saying they are now the leader at over Four. One Million NIL- - -No way ib hell would I give up that kind of money, sure he is legit averaged over 21 points per game but just wouldnât
Now Auburn has entered the picture and it is looking like a two team battle . K/State & Auburn, Actually talk that K/State has already finished the NIL deal just hasnât been announced yet. - We shall se, if thatâs true makes K/State legit team

@SlimShaddy54 I mean KU did sign the top HS prospect and what would be a top 10 recruiting class if Tillery didnât reclassify and come early. So itâs not all doom and gloom, but itâs definitely not all roses either.

@dylans Misleading headline in a sense. The 28 million is from two national deals. Including the entire 5 year length of his New Balance deal and his Fanatics deal. None of that was from Duke.

Yeah DP has a similar type deal with Addias, likely at a lower number as Flagg was a higher profile recruit. That kind of money is only on the table for players the shoe coâs are betting on being NBA all stars and trying to get in early to get a deal.

Rosario was one of the biggest national stock-risers in the spring of 2025 before subsequently reclassifying to commit to Kansas. With a strong, college ready, frame, and a good skill-set he will provide immediate value with his shooting and floor-spacing. While the three-point shooting is probably his best asset, heâs also going to be able to attack close-outs, straight line-drive, play through contact, and elevate off two-feet. He isnât quite as quick laterally though and so there are some concerns about how heâll adapt on the defensive end of the floor. At this point, without much creativity or change of direction in his handle, heâs probably best described as a wing, where he lacks ideal positional size at 6-foot-4.

With these last two commits ew just went probably from like the fifth best team in league to 2nd 3rd best-- maybe challenge-- like those chancesâ then we have oh dam whatâs that kids name-- â -umm-- umm what is it ? â -OH YA DARRYN PETERSON lol look the frick out. KU didnât go anywhere . were STILL HERE.
Look I see a bunch of K/State and other trolls on different sites now scurrying back to their holes, Iâll be dam ainât that something.

Is Tiller going to be healthy enough to play in the first game? It would be nice to have all three bigs available early to see how they mesh.
