Was waiting for either him or Mikel Brown to get an offer. Think Rowe is from Columbia like Dajuan as well.
Correct he knows Juan and CB etc
-
See where Coach Self is after Sebastian William Adams- -6’7 220 lb Forward out of Houston Texas , Ranked # 28
Other Schools involved are Texas , Texas A & M , Tenn - - -then KU. - - said seeing as how KU is the only Non SEC School listed he must be pretty serious about KU
-
I see Tyler Jackson is planning on a visit to KU # 16 ranked player and PG
-
4 star KingstonFleming @kingflemings has picked up an offer from Kansas
-
#6 ranked Bryson Tiller, 6’9 PF out of Georgia is visiting KU this weekend for the game against Missouri. Sure picked a good one. Next week he will visit Indiana when they host KU. So 2 visits to see KU in 2 weeks. Wonder if we are a serious player here

Bossi said he’s a reclass candidate

Interesting note there, I missed that, thanks.

Him and Sanon will both be at the Indiana game so hopefully we put on a show

KU trying to get involved with Khaman Maluach a 7’2 Center from the NBA Africa Academy. Duke, UK, UCLA also involved. Could reclass to 24 too

Oh boy ,could be a war with Duke & UK
-
None of UK, Duke or UCLA like to play through their centers.

No,not true. - - Everything went through UK"s big Double – Double guy was it last yr or the yr before. I’ll be dang if I can remember his name now UK’s whole offense ran through him ,the transfer from West Virginia.
-
@jayballer67 Tshiebewe
-
Two years ago. I don’t believe it did last year. This year, UK has three 7 footers. I believe one is injured, 1 isn’t cleared and 1 is ineffective. So there’s that.
-
Some ball handling and ability to shoot the 3 in film. 230 pounds so needs the weight room. Expected to be a top prospect in which ever class

Reclass was made official yesterday.
I watched some full FIBA games. Obviously he was extremely young going against full grown men. Definitely a project on offense. Defense alone is enough to make me want him lol.
-
Thanks missed that reclass stuff. Not sure we’ll be big in this recruitment given we have Flory.

I think we only take another big if Hunter leaves.
-
Good point. I’m good with a 2nd year from Hunter so hopefully we don’t need to go after another

Sebastian Williams-Adams (#21 overall ranked Jr) recapped his recent visit to KU. Texas A&M is also involved in this recruitment at this stage as took an
The environment was crazy," Williams-Adams said on Kansas. “Everybody is a Kansas fan out there. The fact that Allen Fieldhouse was packed during the holiday break made it feel like a professional environment. The team was prepared. They had a great shootaround, great scouting reports, and knew when to make the right adjustments when things did not work.”
“The staff showed me the role they believe I would grow into,” Williams-Adams continued. “They also showed me the culture of the team and the history of Kansas Basketball. It was nice to experience what the program stood for.”
Williams-Adams says he does not plan on scheduling any official visits until the grassroots season comes to an end in July. He added that he does not have any additional unofficial visits planned at the moment and is unsure on a timeline for his commitment.

@BeddieKU23 which game, OU?

Think I touched on him a bit here as well but
-
Important to note he is from Wichita originally. Mom still lives there.
-
Yup, imagine he’s a potential commit at some point. We shall see. Reminds me of KJ in the fact that he’s so big but handles the ball. Seems like he will be positionless overall but be a good 4 man potentially.

Yeah, ideal 4 for us from a skill set perspective.

@kuballin10 if we pull acuff and griffen are you prepared to say the staff took care of business this cycle and not second guess that whenever we lose games?

You already know the answer is no because he’ll still complain about Harris.

Yes, please. And I know this is off-topic, but how are we looking with Griffen, Brea, Kugel?
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Griffen just waiting to make it public, TBD on Kugel, Brea backup to Kugel so I really doubt we get him

#Notcommitted??
#yet
If he does or did commit, I’m not gonna have a cardiac as that’s just way to long of time to hold on to the commit. Now not saying eh Couldn’t stick BUT with the way College Sports has change and this dam NIL and tampering by schools, and how these young kids change their minds at the drop of hat- - -ya it’s going to be a real challenge/surprise to actual see him take the floor at Ku in 25- -Loooooooong ways to go before we get there. It’ would be nice BUT I’m not holding my breath at the end result. - -Whateve we happens e will be fine.- - I’m more excited to see and hope Griffin comits.
That would make a trio of really good quality players, Mayo-- -Storr----& Griffin. – I’m not adding Kugel at this point, as there seems to be a lot of uncertainty right now about eligibility maybe - -Hope so, w shall see though ROCK CHALK
-
@approxinfinity Recruiting wise they will have knocked it out of the park for sure.
Now what Bill does with those players this year and how they form the team (style of play and who plays what minutes) will ultimately determine if it is a success or not.
As @Texas-Hawk-10 alluded to already part of the downfall in the rotations will be the amount of minutes d2 plays and how he performs. Hoping he steps up this year because last year from the eye test seemed like his worst year. Wonder if he was hurt honestly….
-
Just curious why Acuff would feel the need to post that to the whole world if things were buttoned up. Smells like a counter-offer is on the table.
I’m wondering if he’s asking for more than any freshman has ever been given… leaving the staff to contemplate the implications of putting so much stock in an unproven player (at this level).
It’s one thing to put a high 6-figure package together for a transfer whose performance has been validated with stats against at least Div1 or even P1 competition… Seems harder to make the case for a player out of high school, no matter how high you (or others) are on the guy.
Grady or Wiggins (worth it) + Selby or Alexander (not) = risk.
-
Kids will be kids. I see this as playing the game.
Acuff had some heavy hitters after him before KU got this visit + momentum that he may commit to the good guys. UK and Calipari were heavily involved prior to his falling out at UK the last month and I doubt its coincidence that there’s been this change in his recruitment. Now Cal goes to Arkansas that also has big NIL so yeah you can imagine this recruitment isn’t over. Michigan also has a new coach and there’s rumor he could give look at them as well.
Getting a commitment this early is cool but there is zero assurance he’d stick for that duration (however long it may be).
-
@BeddieKU23 So it’s like eBay and KU is winning with 5 minutes left - it’s nice, but doesn’t mean much. Wild free agency period.

You should of figured- - that was coming. I had heard some thought he verbaled the weekend he was here .If IF he did, that’s quite a bit to ask this far in advance unless he is just overwhelmed and in total aww with the School.
That’s a long time for a kid especially a kid of that stature/ ranking to stay loyal to a school.-Especially verbal’s aren’t squat. You know these other Schools are going to stay on him , and stay on him hard.
I can’t blame the kid for taking aas many visits as they allow – use to be five, I think that may have changed now. I’m not going to be a hater if he goes elsewhere—good luck----I’m not saying you would be , but just saying.–Yeet my advice to those people who will, --simple message don’t hate the player----hate the game. - -kid has the right to change his mind on commit and being this far in advance, you can almost take it to the bank— that’s happening.–I seriously doubt he ends up here.–BUT wee going to be fine
