I’m so un knowledgeable --so if I might ask who is this guy?- - - I’m guessing plays the 5 and that’s wht w are reaching out, in case Dickinson leaves.
I STILL say I just don’t think he comes back I would guess 50/50 tops, I’ve been saying and just a gut thing. Maybe it was from his Sr speech, he was saying what a pleasure it HAD BEEN to be able to play with the guys, gave me almost a feel right then and there – nope he is done, could be wrong, if I am , I am happened before, not the first & won’t be the last
If Hunter is coming back why is the staff out talking to so many other Bigs ?.-I know the staff was or is suppose to have this zoom call this week with Cliff-- -the entire staff, has anyone heard anymore on that?So this guy Broome – decent player ? - where or what School is he at ?

Broome has a career PER north of 30. Averaged 17 and 9 for Auburn last year. This guy is absolutely the man Self is targeting in case Hunter leaves and there’s zero chance he comes here if Hunter stays. This one is the staff doing due diligence and being prepared for whatever happens with Hunter.

Gotcha, ya I’m sure as you say NO WAY he comes if Dickinson comes back.–could be the staff already has a pretty good idea what he is going to do. Broome isn’t coming in to come off the bench net year

Is he better than big dick? I watched him play several games and from what I recall, i’d give him the edge in rebounding and defense for sure. Scoring? I dont know.

Is it likely HCBS is recruiting these transfers to force decisions? If current players go for the tryouts, does he have to keep a spot open for possible return?

More mobile big, he’s the kind of modern big you need and runs the floor better then Hunt. I do think he’s better then Hunt

Hunter has been talking about how he has a “trick up his sleeve”, makes it sound like he has an old friend that would come here.
Immediately you’d think someone from Michigan but my mind goes back to Dematha or Team Takeover.

Not sure he’s gotten a fair shake yet. Big guys always need more time to develop. Have we seen enough of him to know?
I know I don’t want to see him shoot 3s anymore, that’s about it. He hustles (and gets bloody!). Seems aggressive on the boards. I can’t speak to his mental health — wasn’t that rumored? Immaturity? Dunno.

The most disappointing thing if Zach stays is why we didn’t pull his RS. He was better than Parker as a true freshman(last season) vs Parker as a 5th year senior.

Was pretty far from reality. Most numbers you see are inflated by 200k or more, but the Hunter stuff was just absurd.

Cryer back to Houston so we can put the pipe dream to bed. I swear Vernon is starting to give fake nuggets for clicks rather than sticking to the real info even if it isn’t as entertaining.
On another note, Hurley proved he’d coach X’s and O’s around Bill with how they defended Edey. TOS has a thread on how Bill wouldn’t let Edey score 37 but we’d been torched from three.
That’s where Hurley has grown as a coach. It’s similar to when we played Washington at sprint center and they played 2-3 zone. They let Vick sit at the free throw line shooting a little jumper or floater. He scored 30 something and we lost.
This is why Bill needs my assistance as half the game is mental. Making a guy who doesn’t shoot a ton hoist it 12-15 times cause u just flat out don’t guard him. I’d do that to d2 all day and work Self like he’s a d2 coach
Or you do the opposite and let McCullar or Hunter hoist it 25-30 times but shut down everyone else. No kj dunks and his 15 ppg or furphy dropping three’s.
It’s what has happened in football that is slowly bleeding into basketball philosophy. Hurley ahead of his time right now defensively which makes me want to puke. What I’d give for 6 titles with a back to back….
The way Uconn blitzed people is because of their scheme. Even when we’ve won it all we didn’t just drill people and UConn did it twice. What a run
