yeah the fit concerns are objectively facts lol. Ant Wright(big 10 guy who has Michigan connections) said he believes the four best fits for what hunter is looking for (championship and potential legacy) are Kansas, Villanova, Georgetown and a possible return to Michigan since he knows everything about the place. Kentucky’s guards are more focused on getting to the nba and Maryland already has Julian Reese and Donta Scott in their front court.

Does he want to get to 4 scholarships even if hunter doesn’t come?

If you’re basically guaranteed 2 years of Dickinson, the transfers out may be worth it. I’d hate to lose guys with some major upside like Zuby/Udeh but the reality is that there were at least 6 or 7 rim-runner type of bigs that hit the portal this year who could have filled in for them if not been better.
On the flip side, there weren’t very many P5 post guys who can get you 20 and 10 most nights. I get the value proposition Bill is going for.

@BeddieKU23 I really don’t think we end up getting him the way things are playing out. Timing combined with our scholarship issues are going to be a huge hurdle.

Yup, I’d say some of the souring to me is the new recruiting period we are adjusting to (portal). It’s an entirely new season we aren’t used to. But the vast majority of my souring is the NIL crap. I guess I need to get comfortable with that or move on, huh.

So, what do you all suppose happened recently with cuffe? why right now? Why not a few weeks ago? Love to know the conversation between him and Self
And my gut feeling is - just pick a damn school Hunter what the hell… KU should be a no brainer. Maybe, as has been suggested, he is wary of Self actually being what a good coach should do - ride his ass when he needs it. I won’t be upset if he picks Kensucky.

That was my guess on Cuffe…he was waiting to enter the portal (once convinced) to see if a team would take him given his injury history, etc.

You’d have to lose someone else still to add Nelson. But there will be a ripple effect if we add Hunter.
