If KU has to postpone games due to Covid, it won’t be because of the players, at least not at this point. Christmas break was big hurdle for the players to get past without Covid and they did. They’re pretty much isolated in McCarthy and really only leave for team related activities. Their food is brought to them, they have online classes, and generally don’t have any interactions with the student body right.
Any Covid outbreak within the program is going to come from the coaching staff or the support staff who aren’t isolated in McCarthy and do have to interact with other people.

@Texas-Hawk-10 some have gf’s. You don’t think classes? Every team has had it but us? I agree we r doing a great job. But all it takes is one, asymptomatic friend. Since we mainly play 5, we’d be in trouble. Bryce should be getting close.

Covid postponements won’t come from the players, it will come from either the coaches or support staff if anything happens because the players have sacrificed social lives during the season to minimize the risks of an outbreak.

A couple of rocket science observations - McCormack had a monster 2nd half. I’m obviously not going to knock his performance (nor his tendency to show up for only one half). I’m going to ease up on him, we’ve been losing of late and I’ve been wrongly been blaming him.
Braun is a very important player for this team. Even when not making shots (people guard him, know that he can knock them down), he always seems to be around the ball making something positive happen. I feel much better about our team after this win.

Would be nice to give UT a little bit of payback. And I’d love to see Marcus guard Butler 1v1 the majority of the game in the Baylor rematch. Garrett helped to force 7 turnovers from Cade last night and even though he got 26, it didn’t FEEL like he got 26. He wasn’t lighting us up.

Agree the level of effort has been much better the last two. Noticeable. Now if only they could make layups and stop turning the ball over…

Bracketology dropped them to a #6 seed (from 5). CBS has them a #7 seed.

Wilson is doing what the staff wants him to do. He’s actually not bad at creating and will get better.

@BShark yea he just has sophomore moments. And his lack of athleticism gets him in bad spots at times.
But he’s still outperforming my expectations tenfold

IF we take care of business this next week, then I think if we win one of the last three, we would likely end up with a 5 seed. We would be 17-9 and with 5 Quad 1 wins and no bad losses. If we would happen to win 2 of the last 3, then I think we would end up as a 4 seed.

Sounds about right. Can’t lose any of the next 3. I think a winning streak going into the Tech game at home is winnable and Texas has hit a lull in play. Baylor looks like the only game we are likely to be overwhelmed.
