RE: Hangover II Game Thread
Even though it wasn’t in the plans, he has spent 4 years here and probably has a deep appreciation for the program and all surrounding it. This place has been his family for four years, and he realizes that the end of all it has been to him is near.

RE: The Beginning
Must have been similar to our game at TCU a few years back!

Moss and Enaruna will continue to make this team better.

Players who need to be the leaders seem distracted; definitely not into the game.

Too old to remember how Frank was as a leader when he was a soph. Do believe that Devon will get there once all of these guys get more comfortable playing together. It’s easy to get down on them when we expect so much. They all want to do well and perhaps are trying too hard at times.

The state of college basketball today. Good players and good teams all over the place will lead to more upsets such as this one.

Most unusual mascots would make for an interesting read; here in Colorado we have two that I’ve never seen: Brush Beetdiggers and Rocky Ford Meloneers. Both are very appropriate to their agricultural roots.

RE: Liberace Game Thread
/r/CollegeBasketball rulebookguy 3 points · 1 year ago They are only suspended for the next game if they participated in the fight. The NCAA Case Book covers this situation. A.R. 276. A6 and B6 leave the bench because a fight has broken out. A6 and B6 do not participate in the fight. RULING: A6 and B6 shall be ejected. No free-throw penalties or technical fouls shall be assessed to A6 and B6 or the coaches of Team A and Team B. Because neither participated in the fight, no fighting penalty or suspension shall be invoked against them. And the NCAA Rule Book talks about suspensions for being involved in the fight in Rule 10-5: Art. 11. The first time an individual participates in a fight during the season (including exhibition games), the individual shall be suspended from participating in the team’s next regular-season game (not an exhibition contest), including tournament competition.

RE: Liberace Game Thread
@Kcmatt7 You’re probably right about not talking about it come March, but I’d be willing to bet we hear about it from opponents and the media. Hopefully, all involved can take something positive from it, accept any consequences, and move on.

RE: Sense Of Urgency...
Unless one is in the locker room, at practices and at games, it’s really difficult to know who becomes that person. We can see some of it from different players and guess who could fulfill that role, but maybe there isn’t just one to do that. It is very difficult for a younger player to do that simply because the others may not really know if they can trust/follow him. To me, Mitch is the most outgoing personality and the one who truly shows emotions, but that may not be enough. Which one of them demands the best from each teammate at all times?

RE: West Virginia University Mountaineers - Tuesday - 8pm - ESPN2
WVU was leading Gonzaga for a major portion of that game. I didn’t see much of it, but I would assume that Gonzaga moved the ball well and shot plenty of three’s. How was WVU’s defense that game?

Missed the start so didn’t know if anything was mentioned then. Where was Tyon last night?

RE: Emperor Of Basketball Game Thread
Dave isn’t Dok by any stretch of the imagination (and we shouldn’t expect that, just as Marcus isn’t Dot) and certainly. has his issues, but if you go back and watch the game, he had several moments that definitely contributed to the victory. I see something in this team that has been missing so many times through the years - fight, scratch and claw for something that looks almost not possible.

RE: Coaching Carousel
@FarmerJayhawk True, but too often a player is overlooked simply because of size. Not overlooking legions of undersized guys; just saying that size doesn’t mean everything when it comes to recruiting. There are some small guys in pro sports doing quite well after doing well at the collegiate level.
