I love this site for my KU basketball fix, but the lagniappe is being privy to thoughtful and respectful discussions of topics that for some are difficult. Thank you all for the great exchanges in this thread.

RE: 2018-19 Line-ups and Rotations
I’m not as connected to the program as many of you, and I come on this board for the great conversations and insight but this threat seemed a bit harsh in regard to Moore, so I Googled and found this article which presents him in a pretty good light: http://www.kansan.com/sports/charlie-moore-uses-year-of-ineligibility-to-improve-learn-from/article_e099ac44-dac6-11e7-a294-43e1142997b3.html I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and root for the kid!

RE: All Or Bust?
Given how RJ and his Dad played this, I think KU dodged a big-time bullet.

RE: Ochai
Nice article on Wilson: https://www.kansas.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article231695353.html? From the article: Self, when talking earlier this week, did nothing to lower expectations for Wilson — one of the top-rated recruits in the Jayhawks’ 2019 class along with Tristan Enaruna.
“He gives us size, he gives us toughness and he gives us skill,” Self said. “He’s not going to wow you like some people may think, like Josh (Jackson) could, from an athletic standpoint and quick-twitch standpoint, but he just knows how to play. He’s a winner.”

RE: Landen Letter to KU fans from KUathletics.com
Notwithstanding what others thought and said during his tenure, I loved LL. He wasn’t the most talented nor the most athletic, but his heart is trophy-worthy.

RE: Putting things in perspective my friends
I’m sure the entire KU Buckets group will keep you and your family in our prayers. This group may bicker back and forth over some things, but we all care about each other and will stick together and support each other in times of tragedy, or in this case, thankfully, near tragedy. Wishing your DIL and granddaughter speedy recoveries!

RE: Global Pandemic of Boredom
@RockChalkinTexas Great to hear from you. And, you are right - we are blessed to live in places where we’re not living on top of each other. I’m glad you have your girls and lots of fun activities to pass the time. I do a lot of cooking, some baking, but mostly big pots of stuff on the stove top. Can’t wait for all of this to be in the rear view mirror. I miss my friends, but am glad to have this site to keep up with all my buckets friends! I join @Crimsonorblue22 in being glad your health is great.

RE: Need a win tonight thread
@BeddieKU23 - This reflects the changes to the 2021 game schedule as of 2/9/21
Date Matchup Time TV
February 11 ISU@ KU 6:00 February 13 KU @ ISU 2:00 February 17 KU @ KSU 7:00 February 20 TTU@ KU 1:00 February 23 KU @ UT 8:00 ESPN2
Do you or anyone reading this have information about which TV channels or ESPN+ will be carrying which games? It really irritates me that the TV information is no longer included in the game schedule on the KU website. I’ll appreciate any help anyone can give me.

RE: Non-KU Games Thread
@wissox The Wichita Eagle newspaper reported that KU started this season down 16 games to Kentucky but have now narrowed that spread to being down 9. The writer expressed doubt that KU could completely close the gap and take the lead, but I’m routing for it as hard as I know how:)!

RE: KU has their answer for WVU shooter
@wissox I guess I wasn’t bothered as much by the calls in the second half either after they guys found their answer

RE: KU has their answer for WVU shooter
@wissox Nothing lame about it. A very well written and enjoyable read as was your really great recap of the Texas Tech game. I thought of you last night as I was watching the game and the many bad calls that you might recap this game much as you did the TT game. I thought the calls were so one-sided in WV’s favor that I was actually shocked the few times we had a call go our way!

RE: Tartleton Game Canceled
HCBS said in his radio interview after the Omaha game that due to Covid testing requirements, there simply wasn’t enough time to get a replacement game scheduled.

RE: Wichita lololol
@Crimsonorblue22 This is from an email put out by the Wichita Eagle:
Marshall received support from former WSU basketball players since the allegations were made public, but none of those public supporters were with the Shockers during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons when the coach allegedly engaged in the physical abuse that triggered the investigation.
Fred VanVleet, Ron Baker and Landry Shamet — three of Marshall’s most famous alums who all reached the NBA — have not publicly weighed in on their view of Marshall in light of the allegations.
The closest any of them have come was when Baker was asked about the topic on the 4 SZNS NBA Podcast released on Nov. 10.
“Think about 14 years ago and think now what Coach Marshall has done there, so (the boosters) coming out and saying they support (Marshall), I totally get it,” Baker said. “But my only defense right now is they weren’t in the gym when those things were happening. So they’ve got to understand where I come from when I walk the fence line. There will definitely be a time where I think I’ll get into more depth.”
It will be interesting if Ron says more publicly for sure.

I join the other posters in being glad that this incredibly scary incident ended well for your wife and am so proud of the QT employee’s quick action to protect her. Prayers for you and your wife recovering quickly from the trauma!
