Yep. Tech has multiple NBA guys, KU probably has 0 in all honesty. And the ones that have a shot like Bryce aren’t ready yet.

Ok guys, so hate todo it but I’m going to be the Debbie downer here, but your more then welcome to your opinion. This (KU ) team RIGHT NOW - - this is NOT a top 5 team in the Nation. I would say more like 14/15 range. - Got to give them credit for gutting it out and getting past all the BS phantom charge calls , Bilas was saying those WERE NOT charges , but having said that again right now this is just not a top 5 team.
We are so careless with the ball just stupid for the most part unforced turnovers - -we got lots of work to do. - yet still love the guys - - this is done and on to the next - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I was thinking 2-1 to open conference play would be a miracle. We will somehow split with Baylor. If you switch coaches so that Self is coaching Baylor, Baylor would go 2-0 against us.

So, I would agree that we aren’t playing close to top 5 caliber, but other than the Zags and Baylor, who has a better record - quality wins thus far???

THIS fool had only been averaging 22% from the 3 all year, but right on par like always when teams play KU he plays out his ass - -BUT hey it’s a road win for us big bonus - -like they always say you have to protect your home Court and we came in a took it

These are fun to read in hindsight lmao. Gutty win. This team has a really good makeup. A little bit down on talent but I can’t name many teams better.

I’m just glad Tech finally has a hate-able player (in the spirit of conference rivalry). I can think of several guys from every other Big 12 team going back forever, but this McClung fellow pushes all the right buttons to be the first real boo guy ever from Tech (other than coach Knight)

Bill is a helluva coach. This roster does not fit great and lacks much if anything down low. I do think Marcus plays too much, he could use some rest. Too many Dave fadeaways and Marcus getting stuffed hopefully we see more of an actual offense soon but I trust Bill.

Agree, but I would cut Marcus at LOT more slack… Both 3 - 10. But Marcus had 10 points, 10 boards, 4 assists and 1 TO - and plays defense. Dave had 7 points, 3 boards (5 others had as many or more), 3 TOs, 4 personals, and he plays matador defense (at least when he has to guard the perimeter).

Tech leads the league in Defense - we shoot40 % - -But our defense was better - - Tech shoots 32 %

coach made a really good move late switching to the zone for a stretch threw them off , cause we getting beat on man to man - - sometimes beat bad

Marcus does not have the luxury of having Doke clearing out the lane for his drives to the hoop. Hopefully Big Mac willl learn how to do that a little better

My hope for that is very low. Our bigs are so bad at screening. Maybe next year it improves, certainly bringing in a lot of bodies.

We went on a 7-0 run in the last few minutes when Garrett was on the bench. Don’t get me wrong I love the guy but he needs to be on the bench when we need offense. That’s my opinion anyway.

Part of this is because we aren’t really running much of an offense yet and most of this team isn’t able to get by their man.
I quite like Cuffe, hope he is on the team next year. He’s fast and an electric athlete. There will be growing pains but he can grow into a great Bill Self PG IMO.

Yeah. Bill knows he will be good, I like that he lets Bryce play. UK is the only game where he had single digit minutes.

He just said on post game Marcus was covered by hi hands and didn’t think he could get it over. The earlier time in the game the lob was there for Och, but they couldn’t get it to him. Said they were bad at lobs, for now.

Dave is down to an awesome sauce 39% from the field. He’s 28 for 71 on the year. It took 4 years for Doke to miss 43 shots.
To put it another way, Dave has as many missed shots as rebounds on the season.

Dave played a key role in the win last night. He was in the lineup for crucial stages something we haven’t seen so far this season. Self trusted him and he delivered.
