Man is KU is really going to stomp Colorado tonight!
-
Malone is better than Dak. Not sure what tad is doing
-
Really
-
Air foul
-
Finish this, guys!!!
-
Zeke scares me!
-
I don’t think zeke has been the guy throwing the ball in most of his life
-
Make this FT, Griff.
-
Thank you.
-
Lug nuts tightened and safe travels home!!!
-
Good game hunt and juando. . I’ll take this as a good win considering the terrible game time.
-
We did it! Not many of us fans left! I’ve been throwing up while watching
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Literally?
-
Rock chalk, night owls! Get well, crimson!
-
@patoh3 yes, bad stomach
-
Jeez. Finally. Painful to watch, but I’m sure we’ll all take it.
-
Gotta give it to Hunter this game. HUGE game from him when the shots weren’t falling for anyone else. We make some free throws and any threes and that game wouldn’t have been that close. Feel good about the win. Gotta keep it going though to prove they are more than I currently think they are.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Ouch! So sorry! Hopefully it passes soon.
-
Did Zeke score tonight???
I’m not really joking when I ask!
-
4 points
-
@patoh3 not fun, have gastroparesis so its frequent

Double ugh.
-
It’s good to get a win on the road but I still don’t have warm fuzzies after eeking out a fairly narrow victory over a team that is 2-14 in the conference.
Turnovers are a heartburn as many are unforced
Sometimes our O and D are egregiously out of sync
-
Obviously not the cleanest game, but that wasn’t what was needed to be seen tonight, but the biggest thing was KU’s energy and effort levels were high throughout the game. At this point, this team will go wherever Hunter carries them to.
-
Good thing kj was hitting and Rylan was hitting most ft’s
-
@benshawks08 kj was hot to start
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Hopefully you are finding helpful treatment.
-
@patoh3 nope
-
Most important stat from this game: 2-0 in the new season.
Don’t look back boys.
-
It’s a win. Once again, “Hated Hunter” leads the way with about half our stats.
-
Good to see a W. sounded a bit ugly per the chat but a road win is a road win.
Good to see Hunter step up with 32 pts and 13 boards and make 13 shots. Need him to be like this the rest of the season. Play to your reputation dude.
Saturday is a huge test, Tech is a bit hobbled and is 3-3 in their last 6 games. A good time for the fieldhouse to fuel a W. In February the Hawks allowed only 58 ppg at home. Bring the d on Saturday and it will a good result

So, was the game plan to play through Hunter or did the guards just take the night off? Only 12 3s even attempted by our guards and they only made 3. Altitude, lateness of game or they just don’t care? Or they suck? 16/28 FTs, Jeez. If NIL estimates are correct and Storr was paid $800,000, that means he’s been paid $4,762 per point. 0 pts last night in 8 minutes. And while I’m being negative, KU not being ranked means 3 more clicks on ESPN to get the score. Oh woe is me.
-
Well winnin ugly is still winnin so we’ve caught our breath just a little bit. Obviously there’s no reason why this team can’t start playing like they were in November and well, November, but now of course mediocre teams know they can hang with us and beat us. Dickinson was what we always thought he’d be.
-
There seems to be an increased sense of accountability across the board, and it definitely helps when the biggest dude plays with a chip.
-
I follow Matt Tait on X and he usually will tell it like it is and said the guards had a rough night but the sense of urgency was much better as a core. As odd as it is to say about Kansas basketball this is our first time winning back to back games in over a month. Baby steps in the right direction @drgnslayr Hunt has been great the last two games because he actually seems to be playing like he gives a rip. He’s has earned plenty of criticism but I think him and Zeke really hold the keys to our season at this point. Which scares me with how Zeke plays away from AFH.
-
We need a few things to stabilize. If the big rotation and effort level can be a settled thing then we can gets the guards sorted.
I have to admit i was in and out of consciousness by the end of the game. What I did see with KJ / Hunt / Flory minutes distro didnt seem unnatural despite box score showing just 15 min, and KJ at 30 with 2 rebounds.
Can someone who drank coffee or something tell me if this felt troubling? I do remember KJ coming out with great energy and 7-13 is solid, but wondering if when he was flagging, Flory could have been utilized more effectively.
-
@approxinfinity with Shak out I think we have found our 7 with Flory and Diggy off the bench. At this point Storr is just a lost cause
-
Yeah the rotation seems pretty set now which is a good thing. No more tweaks unless there’s injury.
-
Zeke’s performances away from AFH really concern me headed into March. Avg just 10ppg in conference road games vs 19.8 ppg at home. He’s had 7 20 pt games this year but none since 1/28. Need to get him going again. A 1/2 punch of him and Hunt getting close to 20 in a game would make things a lot easier for this offense. They are 4-0 in games where they both score 20 or more and avg 85 ppg as a team.
-
Maybe everyone has rotation change exhaustion. We got out rebounded badly, but if this formula locks in good chemistry then I guess it is what it is.
-
Rylans 4 assists is a nice sign. He seemed to be multidimensional on offense

Worst all big 10 player of all time? I’d be happy with Diggy getting all of Store’s minutes at this point and I never thought I’d say that.
-
I feel bad for AJ and wish him the best. I feel like he is not interested in basketball but has always had the raw talent to make it work.
-
Self did a great job subbing to keep guys fresh. Colorado played hard and didn’t give us any clean looks from three without us hurrying or forcing them. It appears we are bad at setting picks and ball handlers steer wide so defenders are not getting scrubbed off. At times Hunter had about half our total points and rebounds. Without his nice touch on 5-7’ shots which have been missing we lose. He got hacked a bunch. Didn’t react but played hard. Rylan worked hard on both ends but he and AJ can’t buy a layup due to what I don’t know.
-
A nice rest before TTU at home to make it three wins in a row and another short turnaround game at Houston where we can avenge our most heinous loss this year. Then we beat Zona in Allen. We are 22 - 9.
-
@BeddieKU23 yes that’s what I was getting at above I don’t think this team can consistently muddy up the game against a good team especially with Shak out. We are 14-1 on the season when we score more than 74 points the lone loss was the Houston crap our pants twice ordeal. To me we just need to guard with some pride and move the ball on offense. Zeke, Hunt, Rylen and Flory aren’t great defenders and that’s not gonna change in a few weeks. Play sound team defense and it’s basically a race to 75 IMO. To get to the 75 we need AFH Zeke to show up in March or it’s gonna be a short ride yet again.

He had 6 on Saturday, I think he is really starting to mesh with the rest of the starters
-
28 FTs on the road is a great sign. That has to be at or close the most trips to the line that we have had this season. Need to keep that up for games where the outside shot isn’t falling.
Also impressed with Rylan making an impact on the game even when his shot wasn’t falling. We weren’t seeing that earlier in the season and he was probably the best of our guards last night. Not there yet but some signs to be optimistic moving forward so hopefully the team stays locked in.
-
KJs rebounding was probably the most glaring stat looking over the box score from last night. 33 minutes and 2 rebounds is crazy. Shocked Juan couldn’t get at least one in 34 minutes but the guards outside Rylen definitely seemed to leave a lot to be desired
-
@kjayhawks Its Rylan
I’m making a point of spelling it right. He’s trying.
