Also I am not buying the going with 11 thing from what Iâve heard. If Bill can add difference makers at the 4 and another gorrrd.
Grant Nelson and Pullin being the current top options. Always subject to change of course.

Iâm assuming he didnât get a strong enough promise of a two-way deal.
This is the ideal scenario at the 3 spot for KU. A starting line up of Harris, Morris, McCullar, KJ Adams, and Dickinson is going to be an elite defensive group. Jackson, Timberlake, and Marcus Adams is a solid rotation off the bench and if Johnson or McDowell surprise, even better.
This also makes Grant Nelson or someone else who can play the back up 5 spot the best option for the last scholarship.

Tie a bow on it Bill. Go get your versatile big man. Pitch is easy. Plenty of shots still to go around. Play next to 3-4 good passers at all times. Practice next to the best. Win a Natty. Get paid. Perfect opportunity to showcase your abilities at the 4 and 5.
I do think they have to at least take a 3rd body at the 5 if they whiff on Nelson/Kaluma.

Quite pleased at McCullarâs return for many reasons, but most especially for his maturity and the knowledge of the Kansas system. It itâs not an easy system and his mentoring will help many fold. Welcome back, Kevin!

Kev just needs to work on that shot. Go find a trainer and live in the gym all summer. Rebuild that stroke. His FT% projects him to be a better shooter than he is from deep. If he can bring a 35%+ deep ball back to Lawrence that is a game changer.

In an ideal scenario, Harris isnât playing 33 mpg so that might be a place to get some more minutes for Timberlake.

The academics part of this will be fascinating if he does indeed decide to go back to school and those rumors are true. Can he still practice? Can he do the summer trip? Can he play in exhibitions? Can KU find a way to get him enough Summer credits to make it work? How many other schools does that eliminate if it really is an issue?

I asked my sister (family dinners are RIVETING let me tell you) about what it would take since sheâs THE expert on all things academics, âDepends. Have to pass 18 hours between fall and spring and a minimum of 6 a semester so if you miss that mark youâre fucked. If itâs meeting the 40/60/80% (degree progress measures) you can use summer.â

We reached out to Spencer (Rutgers) but he wasnât very interested. To be fair other teams are far more desperate and can tell him he would start.
Disagree on Kaluma v Kev and also think experience in the system matters.
I think Timberlake still starts but itâs not guaranteed for sure and we will know a lot more once practices start.

8 man rotation is pretty clear right now. Another big addition would change that.

Ok, question need others thoughts. - - Do we call it good, and run with what we got right now OR we all in on Nelson , and if we are whatâs the % we land Nelson ? - -whatâs your thoughts on this right now ? - -IF ew were to land Nelson would he start at the 4 as has been suggested and Kevin at the 3 ? - -what would that do to KJ ? - -just asking some opinions from others
