Ya so my preference - just me - a Coach with a career Couch Coaching potato head but my preference from this list please would be : Dickinson , - Tyson/Morris , Ingram - -yes thatās 4 - but if we can coax Kyle to go then we have 4 available. - - Let the games begin

I doubt it? Letās see how the visit schedule shakes out. First one to commit gets the spot. Iād love both but I donāt think we have room unless we whiff elsewhere. Though if you used Ingram as the secondary ballhandler you could run Juan Battle Tyson Ingram Dickinson out no problemo. Iām a broken record on this but adding Ingram just makes your options open up so much more. You donāt necessarily need another guard with Juan so you can play 3 wings at a time.

@BShark Purely from a basketball perspective Iām happy as long as they get 2 of the wings/guards theyāre on right now (sans Spears who I never really felt like was a KU level player in the first place). Getting 3 of them would be huge. My guess is Bill is pitching Morris on starting at the 2, Battle/Tyson at the 3 and Ingram at the 4 in a "point forwardā role.
Iām also getting good vibes on the Dickinson frontā¦

Hunter is going to make it to Lawrence. Having an apples to apples comparison of KU and Maryland will be eye opening. My gut says we still get a 4th spot. Idk exactly how (maybe just eat the penalty in like 2026) but I think we make room for 4 if we need.

Iāve wondered about the possibility of kicking that can down the road. Itās wholly up to the staff, right?

@benshawks08 I believe so. It would be weird for the NCAA to tell KU how to construct its roster but theyāve done weirder things.

@FarmerJayhawk Iād hope this year is unique in the need for scholarships. As long as this isnāt the new normal, Iād rather get all we can this year and hope for a little more stability in the next couple of years.

Yeah 8 really is too much. Took a large amount of massive whiffs and failed development to have happen.

@FarmerJayhawk Or even just have the 4 (5 if you count cuffe) a little more spread out position wise. We have a starting point guard and then 3 guys who we really donāt feel super comfortable starting at the 5. That has to be some kind of anomaly in the Self era. Maybe 2008 is comparable?

@kuballin10 just did some playing around, it works since Timberlake for sure comes off the books for 24-25, and likely Dickinson if you get him. Weāll for sure have at least one transfer out (idk who, but someone will. Cuffe and/or Johnson?) and bring back everyone else and poof youāre at 11 with a very strong roster.
