Heard today Kev is looking for a number and if KU matches he’ll strongly consider coming back. If all else fails I wouldn’t hate just throwing Marcus Adams into the fire at the 3 and see what he can do. Think you’re a one and done? Go prove it.

@Kcmatt7 off the top of my head Jalen Duren was really good. This is Adams’s actual class so he’s not skipping a grade.
Tre Johnson would be skipping a grade, no bueno.

Interesting. from what I saw things were moving fast for Jessee. - -So would he be such a bad option B if Hunter goes else where? - -Personally - - I think not. - I feel Hunter will land at Maryland. , gonna be very interesting, does Hunter make his visit next week— OR does he commit while he is back home this weekend ? - I think if he comes next week , if we cn actually get him to Campus I think our chances are better BUT yet if Hunter goes elsewhere I really don’t think Jessee would be that bad of backup plan. . Really good board guy 10.3 and rim protector -almost three blocks a game

I think Jesse is a fine option. Definitely worse offensively but he looks like a better defender. Obviously a little hard to judge given he’s played zone his entire career. I also feel Hunter could drag it out and land somewhere local so I agree with you there

I’d really like to be able to add two guys… If they can’t figure out the Cuffe situation I could see them cutting someone else loose. You can’t take up that many scholarships at the 5 if you’ve got KJ as insurance, a wasted 12th scholarship and no 13th scholarship. Just guessing, but that is something to watch for if Edwards or Dickinson commit.
I think they’re on the hunt for a bench piece that can score. That is what the Primo/Horne/Timberlake buzz feels like to me. I’m good with any of those guys off the bench. Timberlake I’d probably not complain about starting.
And then just find a way to get Kev back. Its starting to make too much sense after you add a guy who can score in the post.

What do u see for Udeh’s and Zuby’s role?

If they get Dickinson, I think you’ll see Udeh get 10-15mpg. The good thing about adding Dickinson is that it would give Udeh someone to learn from on the block. Zuby emergency only (if he is even still on the roster…)
If they land Edwards, I think Udeh will push him for minutes. Could be a 20-20 split. Same role for Zuby as above.
The way this is shaping up, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Zuby portal. Not that I want him to. Or not that the coaches will want him to. But I would understand him not wanting to be the 3rd or 4th guy at the 5 depending on how the staff handles KJ.

Agree I don’t want to see Zuby portal either , brings lots of energy seems like a great kid too. but yet sure don’t want to see Udeh portal EITHER lol dam. I just kinda think that Hunter goes home and then we probably have a shot for landing Edwards. - If I had my choice ya I would want Hunter 1st - -just don’t think it’s going to end up that way though. -which brings into the play you brought out with Edwards and Udeh and Zuby then sticking it out

Happy with all these developments. Need a bonafide guard starter and not a potential bench guy if Cuffe(unfortunately) refuses to leave. the new guy better than Matthew murrell?

Based on your comment that you feel like the guard KU is likely to land is potentially viewed better as Spears and there being two names in the portal already, would it those names include Javian McCollum, Chance Westry, Aaron Estrada, RJ Luis, Kario Oquendo, Taran Armstrong, Amaree Abram, Jaden Bradley, Joseph Girad, Tylor Perry, Jared Bynum, or Austin Nunez?

I’ll toss a name out I’ve heard KU will be interested in: Raequan Battle. 6’5 wing from Montana State, started out at Washington. 3 and D guy. Very strong defender in that league on high volume minutes.

Couldn’t agree more especially with the rumors of Livingston demanding to play the wing. Having two high iq passers/connectors like DaJuan and Ingram would really unlock Dickinson and battle imo.

The fit is so good it’s almost certainly not going to happen. My info is a little dated on him but I do know KU was going to be interested should he portal.

Well got this from TOS - it was a post from on 3 site – so not getting no woodie about the substance of it BUT just what they are now saying that they have actually changed their pick and say KU is the favorite now to land Hunter -they give KU a 62 % chance of Hunter committing here. would be nice for sure just think I’m gonna stay with my thinking right now and say he commits to Maryland , now things can change for sure again IF he follows through on his visit to KU -then I think our chances improve drastically.
The question becomes IF Edwards & Hunter BOTH say they want to come play for KU - - Jessee commits 1st then Hunter says he is coming - - WHO do you take ? -do you by pass Jessee for Hunter ? - -for sure understandable -BUTwhat if we by pass Jessee and then Hunter in the end lands somewhere else after all?- So then we lose out on both? - -Do we take who ever commits 1st ?
