It’s actually crazy how much of a defensive juggernaut they claim ISU is when TT hangs 80 on them
ISU might not quite be a defensive juggernaut, but they are a really damn good defense. The Tech game was only the second time they’ve given up 70+ in regulation and 3rd time total this season.

Jack Youngblood found Mahomes’ toughness a bit more exceptional than you did…pretty much unique in Jack’s eyes.
I am trying to remember another time a QB excelled on a high ankle sprain, but maybe you have seen it more than I have.

Watching this Purdue-Indiana game, Purdue’s defense sucks. I don’t think we are going to see a much better defense the rest of the season than Iowa St’s.

I didn’t say Mahomes isn’t tough, just that it’s easier for a QB to play with a high ankle sprain than a basketball player or other positions in football because of how that particular injury impacts player performance. Mahomes isn’t reliant on his running ability to be a great QB, so that made it easier for him to deal with, manage, and play with that injury than it would’ve been for someone like Jalen Hurts who is dependent on his running ability to excel as a QB.

No way Oklahoma is toast. - -Wee not the only one playin bad ball. - -Oklahoma will NOT make any NCAA tourney–write it down - -they are toast - -down 28 to Wv not even half time. -Stevenson with 21 points in the half
-
UNC is in serious trouble of missing the tourney. Absolute must win for them Tuesday at Wake
-
Even though Dook is poor this year, I still like it when they lose…
-
Duke getting spanked like a red headed step child lol
-
@Jethro what do you mean by poor?
-
Because this is a Calipari squandering of talent… not exactly “poor.”
Put Lively on like any other team in America and they are top 25. Dude is blocking 5+ shots per 40.
They are letting Filipowski shoot four 3s per game at a .289 clip.
I legitimately can’t figure out what they are doing. All of the pieces are there.
-
-
Watching Duke get drilled is cathartic
-
Duke has 2 legit footers, and Ryan Young is still getting 20mpg
Blake’s has to be one of the least efficient players in America, getting 17 mpg lmao.
-
The perils of a nepotism hire.
-
Like imagine if we had Filipowski. Duke’s roster is fine.

Or UConn’s or UNC’s
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich cathartic for sure
-
UNC actually for real seriously on bubble watch
-
Like good god imagine if Bacot left.
-
Queston - -What does Duke & N Carolina both have in common ? - - -They both getting or got spanked - N Carolina down 22 points to WF at the half
-
Nice to see Marquette getting wasted by UConn.
-
How UNC is still on the 9 line coming into tonight is baffling. They are 44th in the Net Rankings with 1-7 record vs quad 1 teams. It would be crazy for a team that returned everyone from the NC game to miss it but they don’t have the resume. I think Dook and UK get in at this point.
-
@Jethro there was a time when everyone thought Smart was better than Self
-
N Carolina only Quad 1 win is against Ohio State - - which has a losing record. - -Hmmmm wonder if Juan might be able to get a few minutes as their pg - -probably not with him being a D-2 player
-
I had a hunch prior to the season that UNC wouldn’t be very good. The jury is still out on Hubert, and they’re not particularly talented. Manek got white hot toward the end of last season and covered up a lot of deficiencies. They’re still playing two bigs almost all the time and Nance is charmin soft (I don’t think he’s much better than Clemence tbh). Caleb Love is infuriatingly inconsistent, Leaky can’t shoot, and the bench is pretty meh.
-
Ohhhh North Carolinaaaaaa
-
So at this point who is in worse shape - - - DUKE - - or N Carolina ?
-
@jayballer67 Dook has a better record both over all and in conference. Is 29th in the Net and has 3 Quad 1 wins with 3-7 record in those games. Plus they just beat UNC.

Right buddy I was thinking the same thing. - - Duke has been fighting injurie all season with one’s like Lively & Whitehead - -big losses through the year. - -Having said that though still think overall they have under preformed
-
Fouls by the trailing team when the team leading is trying to inbound the ball should be an intentional foul inside of 2 minutes.
-
@jayballer67 for sure , people want to give Self and us KU fans jazz about our short comings make me laugh. Look at how many more top recruits and draft picks UNC, UK and Dook get over us.
-
Come on TCU
-
@kjayhawks said in Other games:

It’s easier for some folks that hate us to criticize KU when they don’t have to reveal who they really root for. They know they’d be mocked, ridiculed, and scorned. I get that on Twitter a lot. Those are probably the folks that think “Shaka is smarter than Self”, I would bet. Because they really have nothing else. It gets hard for our competitors to say much. Bill went to 36-0 on Big Monday yesterday. He has 2 national championships. We’ve won 17 out of 20 conference championships. I mean, once you get over 80% win, you’re literally the elite of the elite. 91.7% against the Top 5? Insane. So, haters have to go back decades to throw shade on us. It’s fine with me- their hatred is a badge of honor.
-
This is going to push UK to “last four in” territory.
Absolutely must win games the next 2 for them

If UNC and UK miss the tournament and hoooo boy
-
Lmao TCU just got fouled 3 times in one possession, results in a fast break for KSU… would have been a 7 point game, now an 11.
-
Well, with Calipari as the coach you know the offense isn’t going to be good, so a Kentucky team that doesn’t play defense is going to suck.

Just funny to think how far UK and UNC fell after their 2021-22 seasons…
-
If UK can’t make a comeback, this is the game that breaks them I think.
Not sure you can salvage the locker room with this loss
-
TCU absolutely getting hosed by the refs
-
UNC, Duke, and Kentucky all competing to be the next Indiana
-
Indiana is looking good. Wouldn’t sleep on them.
-
Playing at home helps
-
Nice seeing Tucky lose. The NIT should be quite exciting with UNC, Dook, and Tucky.
-
They will probably all decline to play but the point still stands, it’s on the verge of happening.
-

Wish that would be the case, but why do I anticipate that the powers that be will make sure they are all in the field???
Like it or not, Duke actually has a solid tournament profile (albeit, not 6 seed), which includes non-conference wins against Xavier and Iowa.
UNC and Kentucky have no business being in the tournament based on results to-date.
UNC is 1-8 versus Quad 1 and has no non-conference wins of note.
UK is 1-7 versus Quad 1 and also has no non-conference wins of note. Also, a Quad 4 loss. Totally hanging its hat the Tennessee win in conference play.
Those numbers are by far the worst of any teams that show up in ESPN and CBS brackets (only one close is Auburn). Teams slotted behind teams that have much better profiles.
They are both relying on name brand and not terrible NET rankings.
-
Boy, UCLA and Arizona have cupcake schedules left for the year. They play each other, but no other games against top 25 teams. I have no idea if they are really any good. Pac teams usually show up in the tournament though, so who knows.
-
@DCHawker I’d bet my life without question that all of them don’t get left out. At this point it is very debatable if they belong in. I’d say Dook is the only one deserving of a bid currently. But TV and ratings matter, Oklahoma got in a few years with Trae Young tho they were in 70s in nearly every rating system in America.
-
@BeddieKU23 will be interesting with the NIL especially in football if they try to make players play in bowl games. One of the key reasons I’m glad they are expanding the playoffs. I still laugh at KSUCK fans that brag for beating LSU with 38 players and no coach.
-
Duke is still in as of today and they are probably a safe bet to stay in unless they collapse. The schedule looks favorable for the most part for them. We’d kill for their schedule right now that’s for sure.
