Really happy to see these 4 wins - -shows we got this thing turned or at least 85 % turned around. - -Sorry to say I think ew might relly struggle to win any more this season - - getting into the meat of the Big 12 and at the present I just don’t think our defense can stand up big enough to help oir offense enough for another win.
Our defense has work to do , and the thing is I’m not sure exactly where at - unless it is just everywhere. - -Got to get more pressure & GOT TO BE ABLE TO STOP THE DAM RUN , but love it - -maybe kust maybe might be able to gt Iowa State gonna be hard

We certainly have had to listen to KSt in basketball recite Squeaky’s “But at least we …” rationalizations after losses for a helluva long time! With him gone, we will need a successor to make clown comments, won’t we?

I live near Tulsa. Too many OU flags here. Too many SEC, SEC, SEC comments from locals. Kansas born.

The offense will give KU a chance just about every week because our defense, though significantly improved from last year, is still a bad defense overall.

My dad was a Sooner so I grew up cheering for OU and if I didn’t go to KU, I most likely would’ve gone to OU instead. I still cheer for OU when they aren’t playing Kansas.

My aunt married a guy who’d played QB for the Sooners in the 1920s. He never mentioned it on our rare visits to their house, so I didn’t find out until many years after he died. Looked up his stats not too long ago…his only win as a starter was against KU.

There’s several teams that will drop out this week. Texas, Miami, Wake Forest, and Florida have all lost, and Texas A&M should probably lose to Arkansas tonight. Those are all teams ranked between 20-25 so I think there’s a pretty solid chance KU ends up ranked tomorrow.

Duke was much better than I thought they would be. KU definitely had to play its best game to win this. Jalon was great; next level passing and in the first half his rushes gave us a great start to the game. Duke’s defense was there on all our big passing plays and mostly stopped the run in the second half. Glad to get this win and move on to Iowa St.
I’d argue the big takeaway is that KU didn’t have to play its best game to win. Lot of mistakes. Penalties. (Some earned. Some not so much) and at least two scores left out there with the early no score on 4 and goal and then the fumble on what was surely a scoring drive.
How many 4ths down conversions did the defense give up after seemingly getting a stop for three downs?
Definitely not a clean game but Kansas was still the better team.

This is nuts. A K-State team that couldn’t beat Tulane goes into Norman and takes down the Sooners.
OU goes down. Texas falls in OT.

The number of missed OU tackles was honestly hysterical.
KSU did not do anything spectacular. OU just couldn’t tackle in the open field at all.

We just need to worry about on the filed - the rankings will take care of themselves, or it could be the shortest lived time in the rankings -really not sure if we ar quite ready for rankings or not - -but through attrition probably will be.
Actually thought Jalen had a chance to get that National attention again , but then have watched some othres from the weekend - -multiple QB’S had really good games but that’s ok - we know we got us a winner

KU isn’t ranked in the coaches poll. They came in 27th and the 4th highest ranked B12 team. There are 9 Big 12 teams receiving votes in the coaches poll this week.

It’s looking more likely GameDay could be coming to KU on October 8 because with both Texas and OU losing on Saturday, the RRR has lost a lot of luster this now. If KU can get to 5-0, it’s looking good for KU to host GameDay with the biggest competition being Texas A&M at Alabama.
BetMGM has KU in the mix to be featured on College GameDay at some point over the next 5 games amd I hope it happens!
