Do you seriously think a team that is currently ranked 27 in NET ratings is going to miss the tournament? You might be the only person who thinks KU misses the dance entirely right now. All 7 of KU’s losses are to Quad 1 teams in NET ratings to go along with 4 wins over Quad 1 teams right now.
Duke on the other hand has multiple losses to Quad 3 teams (sub 100) and only 1 Quad 1 win over 47th ranked Clemson. Duke and Kansas may each have 7 losses, but those 7 losses are not equal. Duke will not be a tournament team, but KU absolutely will be in the NCAA tournament this year anywhere between a 7-10 seed unless they’re able win against Texas or Baylor in their last 2 games in which case KU likely moves into the 5-6 seed range.
Exactly, comparing Duke’s loses to KU’S this year is insane. - -like said Duke has loses to Quad 3 - -KU has I believe 4 wins against Quad 1 teams. With the remaining schedule KU could still end up say 16/17 wins against say 10 losses. Have seen way to many times teams with that same amount of loses in the tourney. can’t begin to predict where they would be seeded hell maybe even a 12 seed, think they will be higher but there is no way they miss the tourney unless they lose every single remaing game, sorry but your just off with that

Just read Baylor has postponed 3 more games .Article just came out like 15 minutes ago. Makes 5 straight game postponed by Baylor because of COVID. Games against Texas Tech scheduled for the 13th - - - West Virginia scheduled for the 15th - - & West Virginia scheduled for the 18th have all been postponed - - Dam COVID. wouldn’t be surprised if our game with them didn’t end up getting postponed also

I guess I wasn’t clear, that comment was Duke/Kentucky are not making the tournament.
If KU is ranked 27th in the NET at season’s end they will make the tourney. If they continue to slide into the 30’s, even 40’s there will be real concern. This could be a 3-10 team against Q1 by end of season. They have to avoid bad losses in the next 8 days. They go 4-0 and there’s no concern.

Was hoping to see BYU give Gonzaga a game, but not seeing it so far.
Usually they and St. Mary’s are normally the only WCC teams to give the Zags any trouble, but the Gaels are having an off year.

Duke goes down again, this time at Durham - to a 7-10 Norte Dame team ( 4-7 ) in league - -Duke falls to 7-8 and ( 5-6 ) in League - -93-89. - -Duke at one point led by 15 - - ooops

Well pretty sure Duke’s 24 straight appearances in the NCAA just went right out the door. After losing today they had their chances drop to 10 % another streak out the door

As bad as we are (by Kansas standards) at least we’re not 7-8 or 5-13.
That last inbounds play by Kentucky actually made me laugh out loud. 4.3 seconds left and you don’t pass to your point guard who is wide open at half court. Instead you pass to your big man who dribbles slowly a few times before picking the ball up and throwing it to the Arkansas player who dunks it as time expires. They didn’t even get it across half court.
Pretty good Tuesday.

Been a really good afternoon/night 1st Duke gets beat at home by Norte Dame - - - Then Kentucky pulls the bone head play at the end of the game gets beat at home - -Now K-State getting their ass handed to them by Texas at home - - oh yes lovely night

@BShark In all fairness, they’ve played a lot of tight games. And almost any other coach in America with that roster almost certainly has 8 or 9 wins.
I can only imagine what Bill would be able to do with Sarr and Washington. Offensively and defensively.

Saadly I have to agree. – I think Jimmy Dykes has made a good point. He said multiple times and it true just seems come the last 4 minutes of a game when they are close , they just can’t seem to close it out.
I think now it’s playing HUGE in their heads, and the pressure from the Kentucky fans , you know those kids read/listen to that stuff and they are roughing them up pretty bad - -JUST HAS to play games in their heads. - -Almost like that final 4 minutes something bad starts to happen and it’s like - - well here we go again. - -you have to figure a lot of their problem is at their PG - -Askew re-classified he still supose to be a Senior in High School and he getting thrown into that type of situation on such a big stage - like some have said doesn’t seem fair.
Have to wonder though too if there isn’t finger pointing going on one player to another friction at this point - -who knows.,
Having said all that, one big thing the fans are worried about is - - - How soon or if KU catchs them for all time wins , you would think there would be more important things for them to worry about right? - -So bottom line , I do feel some what sorry for the kids - - but bottom line it’s Kentucky - - sucks to be them lmao gotta love it - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Welp , looks like Kentucky & Duke have finally found somebody they can beat. - - Kentucky wins by TWO at home against an 11-10 Auburn team and Duke beating up on a weak NC State team that’s 8-8.

TCU and Texas Tech has been postponed due to the winter storm that has the entire state of Texas under a winter storm warning. This is also the first time I’ve ever experienced a sub-zero wind chill in Houston. It feels and looks like a Kansas winter here right now.

This is normal for the Panhandle up near Amarillo and Lubbock, but tonight is supposed to get close to an all time record low in Houston tonight.

Just be safe & stay warm. - -I was watching the Weather Channel this morning showed shots of Dallas & they also had a reporter in Louisiana , they were sayin - in Louisiana that if people were waiting for them to come clear the roads might as well keep on waiting cause it wasn’t coming , nature going to have to clear it off as they have no equipment. makes sense as they normally annually only get 9/10 of and inch he said.
Unfortunatley I have a friend who lives in Houston that is Homeless , mercy don’t know how he is making it in times like now , just you be safe I’m sure roads are not the best there. - I know the was saying Dallaas was expecting another big storm Wednsday.- - Woke up here in Topeka this morning to a reading of minus 8 - -& Wind Chill of - - -Minus 28 - and snowing take care buddy

There’s widespread power outages here and most electric companies websites have crashed because of people trying to find out when their power will come back on. I’m lucky that I didn’t lose power at all, at least so far. Most people lost power between 1:30 and 2:30am when the brunt of the storm came through and had thunder snow with it.
