Really need to push the NCAA to decide quickly on any punishment following what the close of the trial. I think a lot of players would feel better if we just ended up getting a slap on the wrist and that cloud was gone.

Top recruits know that all programs pay, maybe not directly but indirectly via shoecos, runners or boosters. They also know that if one falls all fall; I would not think they would be too concerned about it. The only thing would be if, because of the recent attention and exposure, Adidas is on a freeze of sorts and not doling out cash like the others.
Adidas is still out there paying recruits, I’m aware of one recent player that they were able to keep in the fold in the 19 class.
They just used other handlers that won’t end up in a future FBI trial. The FBI caught the bad apple, one connected to KU among other schools

I’ve been trying to figure out Xavier’s scholarship situation. They should have about 8 guys back next year but have signed 9. Last time I checked that didn’t make 13. What is going on?

Lol, they have 5 commits. They are keeping 8 like you said (11 guys and three are grad transfer srs) so they are now full up.

Looks like I missed Elias King decommitting. Also one of their transfers I didn’t realize was a preferred walk-on and the other was eligible to play for them this season. Thx for clearing that up. Makes sense how they are getting to 13 now.

By my current estimations, the Big-12 has 17 four star recruits (or higher) committed with a handful of high level transfers sitting out the season. Last year the Big-12 added 18 for this current season. Talent infusion coming into the league

Thankfully KU has enough talent that should stick around to absorb a tough class. No mistake though the streak could easily end next year. Front court additions are so key. I’m not worried about the back court if it’s going to be SO Dotson, JR Garrett, RS SO Moore, RS FR/SO Agbaji, RS JR KJ is good enough. The FR likely wouldn’t have to play, unless McBride is further along than expected.

You know just from reading what I’ve seen IF he holds a lot of stock in his own words , then I STILL think in the end JRE ends up here at KU. OK maybe some truth that Villanova makes that push or is - - yet as of this point still just 2 CB’S for them. I think the North Carolina talk has cooled some, although their fans are still bowing or trying to blow smoke up their own ass.
Their saying because of this FBI thing that there is NO WAY JRE can possibly end up at KU - - -saying FOR sure the NCAA is headed to Lawrence - -just no way he still comes here.
Yet I think like I said if JRE holds any truth to his words - -if he had ANY sincerity to them then he will be here bottom line.
I can’t remember if it was 247 or Rivals caught up with him and talked about his recruitment and he was saying how cool it would be to play where his dad had played, that he knew how crazy the KU fans are thought that was cool. - - Talked about Mama going to KU I think - -talked about how neat it would be close enough he could be close to his friends and they would be able to come to some games. -To me - -if you add all these things up - -I spite of other things - -he still come to be a KU Jayhawk when it’s all said and done.-- I have heard people - -again on the NC board they wer talking about how they were worried that in the end Mama would play to much of a role in this, I just think there are still to many factors in our favor – I think JRE wants to make MaMa happy too. - -we shall see - - I don’t see ANY FAT LADY warming her voice up - -hell I don’t even see any fat lady in the building - - – you got to believe my friends stay strong - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Different players. Braun has mid-major PG skills at the wing. He can shoot it but not quite like Svi. He’s a junkyard dog though from what people say. I plan to go to multiple games, so I’ll get back to you on this.

AZ must have outstanding facilities. I’ve been to Tucson many times. Heck, I was just there Saturday.
- middle of nowhere, 2 hours south of PHX by car
- desert landscaping with dust storms and nasty rain storms
- no direct flights
- nice winters, but 115 degrees in the summer (8 months every year)
- Campus is OK but nothing like KU, UK, Duke, North Carolina

@Gorilla72 You can drive to the Grand Canyon. That makes up for all the rest.

@mayjay - oddly enough, ASU is closer to the Grand Canyon. Better bars/night life and MUCH more attractive women. Uh, so a friend tells me.

Trying to find an article on it but people are saying Bossi said he is down to Nova and KU. I can tell you that on JRE’s Rival page his interest for Nova and KU is set to “High” and it’s at “None” for the others.

Yeah I haven’t found an article yet, twitter doesn’t have much either but its reported Bossi reported he’s down to the 2. I would imagine something would be released today.

I still think JRE picks KU but Nova has me pretty nervous. Too early to say anything definitive on Hurt, and we’re not really recruiting Chandler that hard.

When you slowplay guys like Chandler and some others, you’d better not miss on your top targets like JRE. JRE is as close to “must get” as you can have for KU imo. I really don’t want to see what the scramble result looks like. Hope you are right.

The backup plan for JRE is Zeke, but the staff views him as a guy than can start in years 2-3, not a guy that’s going to be a KU level starter immediately.

I agree my friend. - I would settle for those two for sure. - -Yes I would love to have hurt , but I’m just starting to believe more and more that Hurt with him waiting till spring - I just feel the likelihood of him coming is less and less

JRE is good enough imo to start as a freshman so if we only get 1 of the JRE/Hurt duo I don’t personally feel its a huge loss one way or the other. Hurt does have some versatility and superior shooting ability to JRE but Jeremiah has really surprised me especially in recent video how well he does just about everything and his motor and effort will never be questioned here (if he came). The added bonus for JRE is you probably get 2-3 years of him to develop as opposed to Hurt’s OAD assertions.
I think we (I know I do) get a bit uneasy with recruits such as Hurt that are in no rush. Hurt has the leverage in his recruitment with basically every top program in his ear so it makes perfect sense for him to wait it out. Personally I don’t feel we do that great with these type of recruitment’s but Self does win his share.

Someone on the phog posted JRE’s birthday is Nov 3rd. Not saying that could be the date he announces but you do see some every year that do that and with his recruitment at the end stage, just maybe?
